    Oh! My! This is fabulous!

I love how the story slowly unfolds, how we are getting to know characters that were briefly mentioned in canon.

    Good Job!

    Adding to my favorites.

    Author's Response:

Thanks for reading!  I'm glad you enjoyed it and appreciate my story's flow.  I always have to double check everything to make sure I haven't given too much away before it's time.  Stay tuned for more!

Hmm...a mystery. Why can't Al be with her? Please don't tell me he's gay, and that he tried a relationship with her in an effort to deny his sexuality.

Severus must have had plastic surgery to change his looks. Is that right? And why is Sev suffering so badly from the after-effects of Cruciatus? Who did this to him after Volde was dead. Or are his terrible tremors and pain due to the snakes venom, even after all these years.

One question--because Lily is still alive, I take it she wasn't at home when the DEs attacked, and if that is the case, how does she know that Ginny fire-called Harry to come home?

And also...as Severus survived, his body must have disappeared from the shrieking shack. How is it that no one even considered the possibility that he might be alive?

How much longer are you planning on making the story? Have you any idea?

I have really enjoyed it so far. There are a few mysteries to think on. It is all very sad though. *sigh*

"Oh, yeah, just thought of another question--how did Ginny get on the Holhead Harpies Quidditch team if she wasn't very good? She was an excellent chaser at school.

And also--why was HArry in the sink in the memory that Al saw? He was in his cot in canon.

    Lesley~

    Author's Response:

Wow, these questions are great!  I can definitely clear the Al one up; Al is not gay.  That is not his reason for not wanting to be with Vivian, and that's all I'll say about that ;).

All of your Severus questions will be answered in the next chapter.  I'm glad you brought up his body in the Shrieking Shack, because I hadn't thought about that issue.  I will now and I'll make sure it's addressed at some point in the story.

There's a bit of a hint about Lily in this chapter, actually, though it might not be clear enough because no one has mentioned it to me yet.  If you don't catch it here though, I promise there will be an answer next chapter.

As for story length, this is completely planned out and will be a total of seven chapters and an epilogue.  I think it could have easily became longer and would have been less angsty that way because I could have added more humor and a bit of 'filler' here and there.  I planned it out when I thought I'd be finishing it in a month for the fest and then it just didn't work out.  I'm not going to add in a bunch of extra scenes to bolster it though; I'm going to stick with the original plan so I can move onto other pending projects.

Honestly, the Ginny thing really has nothing to do with the mystery.  That's just a personal preference of mine because I hate it when characters seem like they're really good at everything.  I didn't want her to be a star player.  I think even though she was great at Hogwarts, being at the professional level would be a bit tough for her and she might not be one of the star players.  Not to say that she isn't good, because she'd have to be to play professionally, but I just think that she isn't necessarily best known for her Quidditch skills.

The sink part is a bit confusing because Albus is seeing both his memory of the kitchen and Severus' memory of Harry's room.  The problem is that they've somehow combined into one vision and so Albus is seeing both of the bodies, as well his young father, but he's sort of appeared in the kitchen area of the vision.  It's almost like the rooms have combined and so he sees parts of the kitchen, but also parts of young Harry's room.  There's an explanation for this, next chapter.  I feel like I say that a lot, lol.

Thank you once again for reading Lesley.  I think your observations are going to help me create a better chapter six.

Oh that was so sad! Poor Severus and poor Al too! I feel bad for them and for Viv also. Is it possible for Severus to be healed? What kind of poison is he suffering from?

And will Harry talk to him eventually?

    Author's Response:

Hey, thanks for reading!  Everyone's sort of in a bad way at this point, which is not fun for them at all.  I can't answer the questions about Sev, but I will tell you that Harry and Sev will finally meet in the next chapter!  Stay tuned and thanks for supporting my writing!

Oh this is so amazing PG. I'm anxious to see what Harry will say when he finds out that Snape is still alive.

You have such a way with words PG, and such a way describing emotions. Where ARE those damned tissues?

    Author's Response:

Thanks Pandora; I'm so glad you're enjoying it.  The meeting that you (and probably all of the other readers) have been waiting for is in the next chapter, so stay tuned!  You always give me such nice compliments and make feel good about my writing--thanks for that.  I really appreciate the support!

Sorry for not reviewing earlier, but this is a wonderful story, even though it's so sad. I'm sorry that everyone is in such pain and that Harry's family has fallen apart so. It seems that Ron blames him for Ginny's death, too? How hard and sad for Harry.

I really admire Albus. He seems like such a strong and compassionate person.

I hate for Severus to be in such pain, and I hope he'll have an easy passing (if that is indeed what is going to happen), but that everything will be resolved first.

Looking forward to the next chapter!

    Author's Response:

Hi Kristeh, thanks for reading!  It's really sad that everything seem to be crumbling around Harry; I mean, the poor guy has really been through enough terrible things in his life already.  I'm really glad you liked my Albus; I'm so glad I did it from his p.o.v. because he has a very interesting take on everything going on around him.  He is a nice guy and I really think that's how he would have turned out if J.K. was to write more about him.

I can't say anything about Severus without giving stuff away, but thanks again for supporting my writing!  I'm glad you've enjoyed reading this.

Oh, P.G. - you made me weep. For Severus' suffering, for Al and him wanting to get to know his newly discovered namesake, and for Harry...and their family's loss of Ginny. Nobody's grabbed my heart and squeezed it that hard in a long time through a story.

Very well done. Wow. *iz in awe of you*

    Author's Response:

Thank you so much for your lovely compliments, Cathy!  I think this might be the most tragic thing I've ever written, so it's good to know that I've been able to affect people with this story.  Thanks for reading!
