Oh definitely have Severus bake him something in return! I love it when Severus cooks, I think he'd be really good at it. That cake was perfect and I'm sure Snape enjoyed it and enjoyed the sentiment even more.
I always loved it when a student thanked me for teaching them. It made me feel so good.
