Good for Hermione standing up for herself! I like seeing Smidgen and Phil working in the background.

That duel with the Slytherins was awesome! But oh, are they dead. I couldn't believe Snape took all those points.

I'm glad Draco beat up Krum, he's a stalker.

Rita's such a scummy snitch! Poor Harry!

I really liked Rita and Karkaroff. Awesome chapter! Hermione is such a good girlfriend for Draco. Is Ron ever going to end up with a partner?

Author's Response: Yeah those two are going to be trouble for poor Harry. I love Hermione and Draco together and this is a first writing that pairing for me too. Yes, Ron will end up with someone soon, you'll see.

Yay Hermione! I love her, she's got real spirit.

And Rita was excellent, a real journalist, without morals or scruples though.

Can't wait to see what happens to the Slytherins.

Author's Response: Thanks and I agree with you on all counts. More surprises to come!

Those little Slytherins certainly deserve whatever punishment Severus decides to dole out to them. I did notice, however, that the Gryffindors got off Scott free - they didn't so much as lose a point. Is Severus losing his touch?

I am happy that Hermione is able to stand up for herself. That is so rare in a woman... It is no surprise that the Hat placed her in the mighty house of lions. Even a dragon may fear a lioness's challenging roar.

Rita Skeeter is absolute fun to read; I think she has to be my favourite character of all the new characters introduced in Goblet of Fire. She is pushy, stubborn and a journalist through and through! She knows what her rabid readers want and she delivers! Of course, I don't think Severus will be too pleased when he reads 'financially troubled father' in the Daily Prophet.

I have a feeling this Karkaroff is going to a bit more intelligent and dangerous than the one in canon. He is a former Death Eater; surely some of the killer instinct, the bloodlust, is still there, boiling beneath the surface? He had better tread carefully when it comes to the Snapes; Philip is not a particularly patient immortal...

My original idea was for Philip to be a white tiger in his Animagus form, named, Stormwing. (The name will make more sense once I've published more of DLR) You have my permission to play around with him; although I think a large tiger might be a bit conspicuous. If you can't find a solution to him being a cat, a snake such as a King Cobra or Black Mamba will do in stead. The name stays.

You know I'm always looking forward to the next update.

    Always yours,
    Jewels.

    Author's Response:

No, Sev isn't losing it, but under his new policy, he won't dock points or give detention unless he catches a student misbehaving. He came along when all the Slytherins were fighting and didn't see Ron cast the hex upon Nott and Nott didn't know who cast it either, spells were flying everywhere. So for once, the Gryffies got away with it.

I love writing Hermione as a take-charge and tough girl who's not afraid to stand up for herself. yes, she's brilliant, but she also has guts.

Rita is Rita, nuff said! And no, Sev will not be pelased when that article comes out and Dumbledore asks if he wants a raise, LOL! Nor when the staff discuss the fact that if he was in difficulties, he could have come and asked them for some kind of help.

Karkaroff is cagey and clever, more so than in canon, and he will be causing trouble for the Snapes along with Viktor.

I think I could work him in as a Black Mamba, I need a form that lends itself to being hidden and while a white tiger is awesome, it's also conspicuous.

I'll try and post the next one soon, in the meantime check out THH please!

That was a good idea. I loved it all, especially Hermione, who has discovered her own inner tiger! Hear me roar! Update soon, I want to see what detention Sev gives!

Author's Response: Okay I'll be updating soon. Yes, Hermione ought to be a poster child for I AM WITCH, HEAR ME HEX YOUR PANTS OFF!

Cool chapter, I do love how Severus can make his students tremble with just his voice and glares lol, looking forward to seeing what he will do to them in detention...at 6:30am...harsh lol Rita seemed as awful as always, I think I may have gotten the urge to break her quill if I was Harry :D

Author's Response: Harry had the urge to do so many times during the interview and the only reason why he didn't was because Sev taught him manners.  yeah, gotta love Sergeant Snape! And he'll make them regret that little bit of House dissension.

Author's Response: Thanks! Hermione rules in this story. She'll be helping Draco and Harry a lot this time around. And Krum will continue to try her patience.

Ah,poor Crum. You made him a monster. M

Author's Response: Yeah but not as bad as some of the others.  He;s just a jerk, Moody and Karkaroff are worse.

I'm just curious how come Draco got detention, but none of the Gryffindors got detention. I mean at least Draco didn't do anything, but Ron hexed Nott. Uh, Harry didn't do anything I guess.

Great chappie. I loved when Hermione hexed Krum!!! Go gir!!!

Can't wait for the next chapter. I'm dying to know what they've go to do for detention.

    Author's Response:

Draco was fighting with his Housemates, self-defense but still involved, when Snape came down the corridor. That's what he saw, his Slytherins fighting each other. He came too late to catch Ron in the act of hexing Nott, so Ron didn't get detention. If Sev had seen him, however, he would have gotten one. But he can only punish those he saw casting hexes. Harry was just watching, he wasn't involved.

Hermione is goign to be a lot more willing to stand up and fight in this book, especially now that she knows Draco likes her that way.

Sev's detention will not be pretty, he's very mad at them.
