Well done Hedwig! I love the character you've given her in this story, and how she does her best to mother the two hawks. I like how a little post owl has as much input for the success of the mission (hope I'm not being unduly optimistic there) as a full grown wizard.

Author's Response: No, Hedwig was always meant to play an important role in the story, I think she was undersued in the books and then to be killed off that way--it was so unfair! I think that both Harry and Sev could use a bit of mothering-Harry especially--and with the owl they can't really object . . .much!

Skree skree skree!!!! Thank goodness you didn't leave it on a cliffie. *nearly passes out due to the excitment* Yeesh!

Author's Response: I thought about it . . .then I said, no I need to SAVE the cliffie.  So . . .be prepared.  There will be one coming!

i knew hedwig could do it, she is one hell of a good owl, hands hedwig some owl treats, though i was the teensiest bit worried about her and the course of action she chose

    Author's Response:

    hedwig thanks you!

But she knew what she was doing.  She's such a sweet and brave girl.

I've just updated this so you can read about their new adventures.

Yay for Hedwig! She's an awesome familiar and I love how she is a major part of the story. I am so glad she didn't die.

Sev/Warrior's words about losing companions in war and continuing missions to honor the sacrifice of said companions was dead on target though. Harry/Freedom should take them to heart. Can't wait for the next update!!

    Author's Response:

I love Hedwig. She's such fun to write.

Good, because I've known soldiers who have returned from Iraq, namely my sister, who have told me that.  He will, believe me.  Here's the next chapter.

Author's Response: I just couldn't I hated that part in DH.  So I would never do that in my work.  Now you can check out what else is in store for them.

You had me very scared there for awhile. I was afraid Hedwig was going to die. Excellent work, as usual!

Author's Response: No I just couldn;t do that to Harry.  It'd be too much. Thanks!
