I love how you put actual ancient mythology into your stories. I tried to look up the dagger but either you made it up or changed the name because I couldn't find it. I wish I had a way of getting your feedback and thoughts, so if you ever want to talk to me my email is carlinpaddy109@yahoo.com

This was really creepy, but considering it was about psycho Voldy as a kid I'm not surprised. You did a great job showing just how twisted he was and revengeful. Loved the end too, it was great!

Whoa! What a chapter! I love the way you've blended canon with your original ideas, incorporating history and a bit of mythology along the way! I wasn't expecting Tom to actually find anything in the cave, beyond the setting itself, so you really surprised me-- and I LOVE surprises! I can't wait to see what happens next! /// One thing struck me early in the chapter, and I wasn't certain if you did it deliberately or by accident: when Trelawney is reading the tea leaves, I realized she was actually using DRY leaves, not the wet dregs after the tea had actually been drunk. I believed it was an error until I reconsidered, thinking maybe a seer looking for a generalized future wouldn't necessarily need to read "used" leaves, like she would if she were doing the reading for a specific person who had drunk from the teacup. Is that how you intended it? (I'd just never heard of reading dry tea leaves, so I thought I'd ask!)

Author's Response: It was supposed to be because TR is a very creepy guy. Not to mention an evil one.  Oh I had wondered where you'd gotten to. I was afraid your computer had blown up or something.

tom tom tom was really evil back then, i always knew he wasn't nice but not evil evil, it was abit eerie but learning about toms past will help them in the long run.

trelawney freaks me out with her predictions

i hope harry has nice dreams and is well rested for his lessons in the morning

    Author's Response:

Yes, for then they will know his weaknesses and how to destroy him  once and for all.

LOL1 She should, that's what a seer does.

You'll see what happens next and it's going to be a bumpy ride.

I really like the storyline of this and the previous story, but I do think you could do with having a 'Britpicker' to help you avoid using words and phrases that sound too American as obviously Harry and Sev are British. It's just a little distracting at times when they use words like 'dumbass' which you really wouldn't find a British person saying. Having said that I am really enjoying the fic so hope you update soon.

Author's Response: Oh sorry, I didn't realize I had done that.  I have updated and hope you like the way the battle goes.

Ooooh. Very curious. A dagger that powerful shouldn't just be limited to skin touch I should think. I loved Harry's impudence in this chapter. Very tension relieving. He's too cute :)

    Author's Response:

Well, it isn't exactly.  As you'll see as the story progresses, the dagger has its own awareness, think of the One Ring in Lord of the Rings and you'll get the Dagger's personality.  It lives to cause mayhem and will use whatever vessel comes along.

Yeah, Harry is just too cute, especially when he's around Sev.

I hope so! That Tom sure was a rotten apple and scary too! But then considering what he became . . .I'm not surprised. I loved how Harry and Sev were at the end and the Dagger sounds like a serious bit of trouble. Great chapter!

Author's Response: Thanks and you're right on all counts. The next few chapters are going to be, shall we say, exciting! Or maybe terrifying?

That was very creepy. I think you captured Riddle's personality perfectly. He really was a sociopath and it shows.

The Dagger sounds very dangerous and I'm worried about Trelwaney's prediction. I hope nothing bad happens to them!

I loved Severus's last line, "Pleasant dreams, my impudent brat." Perfect!

    Author's Response:

he was it was scary! I wouldn't ever want to meet him.

The dagger is dangerous and you're right to be worried.

    Aww, thanks!

I loved the banter the end, and you're right, it did lighten the mood a bit because those revelations about how evil Tom was even at the tender age of nine, is really creepy and disturbing.

Phew, I need to calm down now, that vision of the rabbit freaked me out. Great chapter though. I'm curious to see more of Trelawney's predictions come true.

    Author's Response:

Yes, i thought it needed some thing to lighten the mood and so I didn't go to bed feeling the way I do after reading Stephen King, all shivery.  I wanted to show Tom as having a really disturbing outlook, like a sociopath.

I know, writing about that scared me too. I hate people who hurt animals, but in my psych class that's one of the signs of a sociopath and a murderer, that they kill or torture animals when they are young.  And it was mentioned in HBP too.  Trelawney will continue to surprise herself and hopefully everyone else too.
