Jilly is adorable! I love her and she sounds like she can help Harry a lot with his guilt. I'm so glad Harry brewed the potion he really is Sev's apprentice now. Hope Hedwig will let him know where the dagger is.

    AWESOME!
I love little Jilly! And the potion-brewing was great--I love how he could imagine Sev's comments and reactions and such. And Jace is Jace. What a great character. :-)
And I think he should just have Hedwig carry the dagger and drop it into the dose of potion so he doesn't get near it again. It will still influence him if he gets close to it once more, I would think. That way, she'd not have to trust him with the dagger, either, which she knows better than to do. Then again, it's YOUR story...

    Author's Response:

I wanted him to feel some connection to Sev while he was brewing, to show how much he has learned, even unconsciously from him.  It deepens their relationship.

I'm so glad you like Jilly and Jace, they are two of my favorite OC's.

Thank you for your suggestion, you will see what they do with the dagger next chapter, which is posted.

I hope he can convince her, Harry is feeling so much guilt for hurting Severus that I think it would be best if he destroyed the dagger to prove to himself that he is not evil. I loved Jilly, she was wonderful and can help Harry heal and maybe Severus too!

Author's Response: Thank you! And I agree, Jilly will help both of them more than she knows!

Loved it all! Jilly is so cute and I love how Jace is so considerate of Harry's feelings. I hope that he can help harry convince Hedwig to get the dagger and maybe they can destroy it together. Waiting anxiouslt for the next.

Author's Response: A very good idea and I thank you for your support. The next one has been posted.

harry has learnt to brew potions from the best and with encouragement he should be as good as sev, i think jace should speak to harry about what was overheard and maybe between them they could get hedwig to revel the daggers location and they should keep harry from succuming to the daggers charms, sev will recover and then sev and harry should have a talk about what happened

Author's Response: That's a really good idea and I shall consider it. I have the next chapter posted so you can see what becomes of the dagger. Thank you for all your reviews. Harry has indeed learned from the best in the field. And you're right, he could become Sev's equal in time.

I like the new family and their abilities! Great! One small thing - jill is not consistent, her speach and intellectual level differs through the chapter (not too much though). I cannot wait for more! Mila

Author's Response: Thanks! Sometimes Jilly imitates the speech of her elders and other times she lapses back into the speech of a two-year-old. I've seen this happen with my small nephews. It might seem strange, but it's because they're learning how to talk right and copy people. And she is a very bright young child, plus her Talent lets her understand things which a child her age often can't.

The first thing that popped into my mind for destroying the dagger was Harry pouring a vial full of the curse dissolving potion into a cauldron outside in Jace's front yard. Then he leaves and goes back inside and Hedwig retrieves the dagger and drops it into the cauldron herself.

Author's Response: Good idea! Thank you!

I love Jilly!!!!! She's so sweet and seems to love everyone!! Hopefully Hedwig will realized that Harry is heartbroken over what has happened and bring the dager to the lab for him to destroy. Poor Harry.

Author's Response: yes she does! Hedwig is not as insensitive to Harry's feelings as she seems, she knows he is very upset but at the same time is afraid the dagger will influence him again. But next chapter Harry will attempt to convince her he is all right.

If Hedwig never trusts him, how is the dagger to be destroyed? I liked the chapter very much. It's not as tense as the past two to three chapters. You always know how to keep us on our seats though, even without a cliffie. I'm quite eager to read more.

Author's Response: That's true and the next chapter will be about Harry regaining her trust. I'm glad you liked this one, but the next one will be pretty tense.
