Reviews For Two Hawks Hunting
Author's Response: Aww thanks! Jilly sure loves her Sevvy, LOL! Freedom has spunk all right, and so do the readers. Let's just hope nothing bad happens to them on the way back . . .
I'm still waiting for my sequel to Arms of a Dark Angel, you know. At long last, a review - from me - for Two Hawks Hunting. The different point of views from the previous chapters are a welcome change to the overall pace of the story. Even so, during your chapters, you remain in that character's point of view or you change it enough that the reader understands whose point of view it is without an aggressive transition. I enjoyed how each child has a different personality even when captured and imprisoned by Lucius, the idiot. In this story you have made him truly evil and that's a different twist to some stories I've read or even my own views of the man. While Dumbledore appeared to be manipulative, he has shown true remorse for his actions. I hope the man is given a second chance; if he can prove that he is deeply sorry, then he really does deserve forgiveness on both fronts. However, it may be slightly difficult to earn Tom's forgiveness. The moment with Lily and his sister was beautiful, considering I try to pretend that the last three books of the series never happened. I hope, as with Angel, that Harry will be able to glimpse his mother and father and know that they are truly proud of him. I think, though, he should be happy with Severus; although the man is a dimwit and stubbornly hard at times, we can see that he truly cares for Hartry in more than just a mentor-ish way. I hope Harry does return to Meadowsweet, as he seemed truly happy with her, as did Severus. It would be more than just a sanctuary for them and I'm sure they all ready think of it as home. Now, Sev just has to buck up and find that apprentice Italian woman and they can all live happily ever after. After defeating Voldemort for a second time, of course. Keep smiling and keep writing! Love, Julz. Author's Response: Thanks I really appreciate it. Yes, Lucius is a true follower of the Dark One in this story. Dumbledore's remorse is genuine and he will eventually try and redeem himself. Yes, harry should be happy with Severus and perhaps he may glimpse Lily at another time. Harry and Meadowsweet do seem to go together, don't they? You'll hear more about them later on. Yes, Severus and Thea are anothe ritem that will need to be addressed. And all of that may happen when Voldy is defeated, of course.
Great writing! Author's Response: Thanks! Yeah, sometimes Freedom does get a bit carried away, but that's why Warrior keeps needling him, so one day he starts to think and actually follows his advice. Of course, if that ever happened, I think Warrior might keel over. Getting to Hogwarts might be a challenge and also once inside, they have to find a way into the Chamber of Secrets in order to finally face the rest of the DE's. |
