Yes, of course he should accept the position--unless you want to be totally unpredictable. ;-) But he really is the only choice that makes sense with McGonagall retiring, and if Flitwick just plain doesn't think he's right for it.
You did surprise me with the astral plane walking stuff--I actually thought of Jilly being the one to bring Harry back out for some reason--the amulets have been rather under-used so far, as even in the battle they were scarcely mentioned. Is Harry going to get his back from McGonagall now that the war has ended??

If Minerva is leaving too then I think Sev will make a great choice for headmaster :) he would be good at getting people to listen and keeping order, and Albus loves him so he would be there to advise if he needed it too, so good to see Harry adopted too :)

Yes Severus should, as long as he thinks he can handle it and it's his decision and he's not manipulated into it by Dumbledore.

I don't think Snape should accept the job just because Dumbledore asked him to. He and Harry have both done their bit. If they want to travel around the world in Indiana Jones hats collecting rare potions ingredients, they've earned the right to do that. Snape was locked into Hogwarts for years on Dumbledore's say-so, and Harry never had a life at all. Again, Dumbledore's call. It's time for the two of them to sit down and decide what they want out of life. There are good reasons why Sev might want to stay at Hogwarts, and if he does, great. But he should set an example for Harry and do it because it's the right thing for him and his family, if he does.

I definitely saw this coming; who else would Albus choose? Severus should take the position; no one else is a better choice. Severus cares about the education of children and can easily handle the Minister. He will be fabulous at it.

Another wonderful chapter. I think Severus has Headmaster is a wonderful idea. Will also keep the reports away from he and Harry....protection of Hogwarts wards.....I so look forward to your next chapter! I so love your work. Are you thinking of another in this series, since Harry now is in position of the Half Blood Prince's book with Severus to oversee him with it??? What a possibilitiy.
