Reviews For My Enemy's Enemy
Author's Response: Um, think that was supposed to be MLE- Magical Law Enforcement e.g. aurors :)
Author's Response: Thank you so much. You're right- this was a bit of a nightmare because I couldn't decide if Snape was reacting too harshly or softly... It was this chapter that 1st gave me the idea for this fic actually because I was thinking about how Snape might react and thought it would be an interesting starting point (although it's actually taken me ages to get to this point lol)
Loved Snape's control and yet you keep him in character. Don't worry, you've done a great job with it. Author's Response: Thank you - glad you liked it. Yeah poor Harry no wonder he's an emotional wreck:( This is probably the chapter I've deliberated over most in terms of how Snape would act so I'm glad you don't think he's OOC.
Author's Response: lol I just had a review on fanfiction begging me to 'make Sirius be alive', all I'm saying is it's deliberately ambiguous but that doesn't necessarily mean your concern is going to come true (just that a degree of uncertainity will play a role in the plot in a few chapters time). Anyway glad you liked it. Yes Snape can keep his temper if he really wants to.He has to be an amazing actor in front of Voldermort after all.
Author's Response: Thanks! Glad you like it. Hope you like the next chapter too :)
I think it's reasonable the way Harry is feeling and smashing things up is definitely something which he would do. I think it would have been VERY OOC if Snape had not lost his temper this time. And you mention that Harry thinks that Snape had been decent to him, then is he really that scared of him anymore? He seems to have managed to do quite a few things by now without getting Snape angry, does he maybe think that Snape is relatively harmless now? Snape does not seem too soft, but I doubt he would want Harry to think that he has somehow "won" and let him get away with smashing his house up like that... Afterall, Snape has a large amount of pride too. But yeah, that's just my opinion. Keep up the good writing and I can't wait until the next chapter :) Author's Response: Thanks for your review :) You're right that Harry is overcoming his fear of Snape - that was the last chapter when he is really scared of him (its only gone on this long because of his experiences with his uncle still playing on his mind). I thought that Harry would still do all these things, despite his fear because he is kind of in self destruction mode. He he yes Snape has his pride to uphold and I always think of him as keeping his temper despite having an urge to throttle Harry from time to time. Hope you like the next chapter :)
Author's Response: Thank you :) It was really hard to strike that balance between Snape letting things go because he knows Harry is genuinely distraught and times when I felt he just wouldn't stand by and let him get away with stuff. I'm glad you think it wasn't OOC. :) |
