Is the bird he's seeing himself getting read to be that as an animagus? I remember he was practicing it with Sirius at the start of the summer...

Aww, I felt so sorry for Draco. I hope there will be a reconciliation between him and Snape soon, he must feel all abandoned. Harry was so sweet, his sort-of-apology was so cleverely done, he was always very impulsive in canon. Great chapter!

    Author's Response:

Yeah Draco is a nasty character but he has an upbringing and been through certain harrowing experiences which all contribute to the way he is. I was actually feeling pretty sympathetic to him as I wrote this chapter, I mean the kid's pretty confused and definately feels rejected. We'll have to see how things pan out between him and Snape!

    I really liked Draco's interlude/flashback.

    Author's Response:

    Good!

He is a horrible kid most of the time but I do feel sorry for him as well...

    Ta for reviewing :)

Yeah, another wonderful chapter! Crows usually stand as death omens...oh please don't let it be an omen of Severus' death?! However, Harry is seeing the crow without Severus being present...oh, I need another chapter!

    Author's Response:

The Crow isn't a death omen in this fic (I didn't even realise they were death omens until very recently actually).

So - no, it's not a omen of Severus' death.

Hopefully things will be a bit clearer in the next chapter as we find out more...

I understand why Draco is jealous; he has become used to being the sole focus of Severus' real affections and now he has a rival for them. In time it will pass and then perhaps he and Harry can breach the wall of distrust that lies between them (probably wishful thinking on my part though).

I'm really curious as to what the Raven is trying to tell him. There must be something that he is missing. I can't wait for the mystery to be solved!

    Great chapter!

    Author's Response:

Well, I am reluctant to allow Harry and Draco to become too friendly (not least because I have read some amazing fics where this happens and fear that I would end up using some of their ideas unintentionally).  In any case given the direction this fic is headed they are highly unlikely to end up trusting one another for a very long time, if ever.

    Thanks for reviewing :)
