I think your story is great. I like the OC's you've put in, and the plot isn't obvious. Really interesting.

    Author's Response:

Thank you, I can sometimes get a little put off by OC's when I'm reading fics so I'm glad you like my ones. I find that they just give you freedom to take the plot in different directions to canon.

    New chapter now up:)

Good chapter. The struggle for Harry about what to say to Severus was interesting. And when he flinched, I was... awwww. Poor kid.

    I can't wait to see what'll happen next! :D

    Author's Response:

Thanks! Yeah he wanted to get Connor out of trouble but didn't really have much of a plan of how to do that, did he?

New chapter now up :) Sorry about the wait.

I wish he would trust Snape and that Snape would help him

    Author's Response:

    Well it may happen eventually...

    Next chapter now up:)

Oh no! Don't be sorry, that was great. I loved that conversation. I'm so glad that Harry admitted that he trusts Snape now. Even if he can't tell him this secret.

Poor Harry though; flinching like that, when Snape only wanted to take the cloak. Snape already knows about the Dursley's abuse, doesn't he?

Great job. Can't wait for more.

    Author's Response:

    Hey cheers for reviewing.

Yes Snape knows about the Dursleys and they briefly discuss Harry's reaction soon.

And yes Harry does trust him but that trust has certain limits atm.

Anyway the next chapter is now up :)

Severus is extremely unfair to Connor. He is treating him in exactly the same way he used to treat Harry. It is never a good idea to make flash judgments about people or to take the word of others. When has he given Connor a real chance? Perhaps, Harry needs to convince Connor to tell Severus the real reason he was sent to Hogwarts, so that they man can see why he acts the way he does.

I feel that Severus was wrong to try to force Harry to break his promise. Did he really think that Harry would betray his friend? He was being borderline cruel to Harry as he laid down his punishment, particularly when he threatened Harry's friends. If he continues to use these kinds of methods, Severus might eventually find himself actually losing Harry's trust.

Author's Response: There is a back-story to Connor which is yet to come out, but without giving too much away Severus does know more about Connor's past than Harry, in some respects at least. Having said that Harry has definitely noticed parallels in the way he used to treat him.

Threatening Hermione and Ron was cruel though, no two ways about it.
