Reviews For My Enemy's Enemy
Author's Response: Thank you! Sorry it's taken so long to update, but the new chapter is done at last! :)
The adults could do with a little acknowledgement of the own guilt. They could also use some time to think about their own actions. They train Harry until he passes out with pain, brutally attack mind and body again and again but it is all o.k. because the ends justify the means. Yet Harry should never question their loyalty or their sincere care for him because...let me think... ??? Severus told Harry he would never physically punish him and yet in this chapter he is completely out of control. What is he thinking? Does he care for Harry at all? And so much for Harry not ever going back to Privet Drive. Dumbledore seems to see Harry far too much as a tool to use and abuse if deemed necessary. Now he is manipulating him into being bait. Harry is naturally blaming himself for everything that has gone wrong (nice character consistancy by the way - he did this in a previous chapter.) Your characterizations are wonderful. No one here is perfect. My largest sympathy lies with Harry. He still a kid and doing the best he can... You are a wonderful writer. I have been enjoying several of your stories. Thank you for sharing. I am really excited for your next chapters! Author's Response: Ah yes the title was supposed to apply to all 3 of them! A lot of your questions about Severus are answered in the next chapter which is now up. But yes, you've hit the nail on the head, with everything that's been going on and his own insecurities it's no wonder that Harry has some major trust issues. I'm also glad you thought no one was perfect, as everyone has flaws realistically. I would agree that Harry's actions are definitely the most defensible overall... Thanks so much for reviewing :)
Author's Response: Thanks! New chapter is now up!
Author's Response: Ah. Well actually I agree that Harry *does* have the better/stronger character... but then Severus *has* known Draco since he was a baby and as his Godfather *is* going to love him even if he is an arrogant little toerag, lol. And Severus managed to stop himself from actually cursing Harry, although admittedly, his reaction was still pretty awful... Anyway, the new chapter is now up. Hope you enjoy :)
I've really enjoyed reading this story, and can't wait to see what happens next. The only question I have is from several chapters back. I thought that Severus had confiscated the Invisibility cloak from Harry before Harry and Connor used it to go out to the lake, but I didn't see it being returned to him. Or maybe I'm confusing it with another story... in any case, I love Harry's animagus form and I hope to see him practicing his transformation more. Being able to transform into Padfoot Junior could be an asset, whether dealing with the Dursleys or Deatheaters, or so I'd hope! Keep up the good writing, and if you can, post the new chapter soon! Well done! Author's Response: Glad you're enjoying it & thanks for reviewing:) I've just uploaded the new chapter. Regarding your question. In ch 27 Snape and Harry have a conversation where Snape refers to Harry persuading him to give him the cloak back. [ Snape says: When I think that I allowed you to convince me to let you keep the cloak after your last little escapade...] So I didn't actually *show* it as such but it happened 'off screen' if you know what I mean.
Author's Response: Thank you! The new chapter is now up, hope you like it :)
I thought your Harry was very in character despite use of the unforgivable. It was rash/harsh but it was also bold and direct and he really had to know. His doubts, fears and conflicted feelings are easy to comprehend given all he has gone through. I am enjoying the angst you have built up in this story. I do not find it "remorseless" yet at all but I am glad to know things will look up eventually. :) I so enjoy a well-written Snape mentors Harry (Harry hurt/comfort/angst stories.) Your's is such a pleasure to read! I hope despite whatever Harry must go through in future chapters, he proves to be the "chosen one" and herioc to the end. Author's Response: Thank you! Yeah, some of the stuff Severus does is pretty inexcusable, but I wanted him to be a complicated and a flawed character, even though he's also got a lot of extremely good traits. I'm glad it seems believable and not too depressing! Anyway the new chapter is now up. Hope you like it :)
Author's Response: Thank you so much! New chapter is now up :)
