Ah, the horrors of a hospital gown. Apparently one can't even escape them in the wizarding world. I guess that some things are universal. Severus was nicely in character but I enjoyed seeing him struggle with doubts about taking in Harry. Still his misconceptions have been shaken so eventually he will come to see the real Harry.

Poor Severus. That darned Albus is always getting him to do stuff he doesn't want to! LOL Nicely done!

Author's Response: Yeah, Albus is a master manipulator, isn't he?

I'm not sure if I reviewed this chapter, but here I go: Aww!!! Come on Sev, we all know you have a heart! Just show it once and a while! XD And poor Harry! He doesn't know what to feel or how to act with Snapers being all mean, but not so mean at the same time. And I'm liking Dumbles in this, even though I'm typically not a Dumbledore fan. Good for you!! Yay!! I'm gunna read one more chappie tonight before I have'ta go go to bed. Oh! By the way, ten points to you! :D

    Author's Response:

Oh thanks for the points Ivy!!

Sev is just not really sure how to act with Harry anymore.  All of his preconceived notions have flown out the window!

Thanks Ivy, I'm looking forward to more chappies from you too!

Harry's views on adults is very much what I think he would think. I can see him being all suspicious of them...all the time. Poor Harry is so jittery about everyone finding out about his injuries. You give nice subtle similarities to Snape and Harry, which are nice. And once again, Snape being manipulated into housing Harry. Leave it to meddling Dumbledore. And leave it to Severus to use veiled threats to conceal his concern. My favorite sentence from Snape's point of view: "Was he confunded?" *giggles*

    Author's Response:

Yeah, Harry definitely doesn't trust adults, and is very suspicious of even small acts of kindness.  What's really sad, is that Harry sees his abuse as a weakness, and he's ashamed, but in reality he's not  the one who should be ashamed.    Oh thanks. I do think that Snape and Harry have a lot in common, even if they'd never admit it.  LOL!  Dumbles is VERY manipulative, isn't he?  But at least he's forcing these two to interact, and don't forget, he knows more about Snape's own childhood, and maybe he thinks that Snape has some insight to offer Harry, and he knows that if Snape would only let down his defences, then the two of them could begin to tolerate each. and let go of some of their hate.

Oh of course, Snape is never going to let on how concerned he actually is about Harry, and how he feels about Harry's abuse.

Maybe Snape WAS confunded! LOL!  He's still wondering about that.

Heh, I'm not too sure. I think Severus will probably come to pity Harry even more when he sees the extent of the damage that has been done. As always, your writing astounds me :).

    Author's Response:

Darned, I just erased a big long response to you, telling you how much I appreciate your kind words! Darned computer...darned fingers.

Yeah, well Severus is going to learn more about Harry's home situation, like about him spending eleven years stashed away in a closet, and when he does, well...let's just say that I wouldn't want to be in the Dursley's shoes!!

Thank you so much, and did I tell you how much I loved your latest chapter of Suffering?  You know part of me is anxious for the epilogue, but the other part is sad to see the story end.  I really hope that you are oing to write something else soon, because I'm always so pleased to see a new story from you.

Hmm snape seems like he is going to be extremely stern. Many rules lol hope Harry can remember them all. He's bound to mess up and then the shoe drop lol nice chap.

Author's Response: Yeah, Snape will be stern, but don't worry, there's not going to be THAT many rules!  Let's face it though, no matter how many rules Snape gives him, he's going to break them!  This is Harry Potter, we're talking about; if only to satisfy his curiosity.  Thanks .

All I have are questions. Has this will been found yet? How is it found after all these years? Does DD suspect that HArry might not be James' son?

And most important of all...the Weasleys are away and Hedwig has gone to the Burrow. I take it she will know intuitively where HArry is and she will return to him.

    The adventure begins, huh?

    Lesley~

    Author's Response:

No the will hasn't been found yet. The will will (hee hee) be discovered soon when the aurors are searching for Sirius. Dumbledore has no idea that Harry might not be James son. It will become clear later.

Oh, you are so brilliant. I hadn't thought about the fact that Hedwig is at the Weasleys and they're gone.  Ooops, have to address that, don't I?   Yes, I guess that Harry will suddenly realise that Hedwig needs to come to Hogwarts.

Yeah, some details will become clear as the story moves on.

Poor Harry! I feel so bad for him, having to go through this physical and emotonal strain. Glad he doesn't have to go back into the Dursely's crule clutches, but he and Snape aren't too thrilled with the new arrangement.

Author's Response: Yeah, maybe it's not ideal for Harry to be placed with Snape, but at least he'll be treated humanely, and maybe Snape now sees him in a different light because it's obvious that he's not the spoilt, arrogant boy that he thought e was.
