Reviews For Sparks Will Fly
Author's Response: Yeah sure...that's Harry's story, and he's sticking to it! LOL
Splendid chapter, though, I do feel for poor Harry. *claps hands over face; peeks between fingers* Wonder what fate awaits him?? Author's Response: Congratulations! LOL I'm throwing confetti too.
Aw, c'mon, be brave ! It's not going to be that bad, I promise. Well, I am evil though; I might just change my mind.
Author's Response: Thanks. I love a snarky Snape too.
I'm sorry that I've been so slow with updates. I will try to do better. I wrote a fest fic too, so that also took time away from updating this story, and also some computer problems.
Author's Response: Thanks so much.
It is a jolt to Harry to have a guardian who is actively involved in his life because he's never had that before, and as he's finding, it may not always be pleasant. But still the great advantages of having someone who actually cares far outweigh the disadvantages, and I think Harry will realize that too. It may be a little harder because it is Severus who has custody now, and the two of them do have a bad history, but even Harry has admitted to himself that he has been better cared for than he ever was with the Dursleys and Severus' feelings have changed so I think that things will work out for them in the long run. I do feel sorry for Harry. He is denied so much that other kids can enjoy and take for granted, but he does need to understand that this is not just a case of people being unfair to him, his safety really is in question...though the danger is not in the direction that people think. But it is hard for Harry to always be singled out and denied things, so I wonder, if by the time the next Hogsmeade weekend comes about, if perhaps Severus could think of a plan to let Harry go, but close supervision? Anyway, I loved the chapter and can't wait for the next one, and for UF too! Author's Response: Oh, thanks Kristeh. It is always hard to weave Canon into a fanfic, but I'm glad that you think that it wasn't too awkward.
Yeah, it's tough for Harry to have Snape as a guardian, especially because Snape is so strict and doesn't show emotion, but actions speak louder than words for Harry, and although he's perhaps rebelling a little against Snape's authority, and he's still very young--only thirteen, Harry will realise down the road that Snape is only try to protect him Yeah, it is tough for Harry to always receive special treatment, and not all of it good.
I think that when the time comes for the next Hogsmeade weekend, comes, the scenario is going to be a little different. (Chuckle, chuckle)
Thanks Kristeh, and I'm just dying for a new chappie of Slave Child too. (hint hint)
Author's Response: Thanks Jan. I'm so so anxious for another chapter of Muggleville. As I told another author, there are only a handful of de-aged Harry stories that I really like, and yours is defnitely at the top of my favourites list!
Author's Response: LOL! When has Snape ever been labeled as "fair"!!!
Snape is starting to care a bit more about Harry, but this is still Snape we're talking about. He's not a fluffy kind of guy, and no matter how much his feelings towards Harry change, he'll never be a "nice guy". That's just not who Snape IS. And I intend on keeping him nasty to a certain degree. He won't be terribly cuddly in this story. I like a mean Snape! But, he will make strides to be more fair in the future (to a certain degree).
Thaks for reviewing. Besides, Harry was denied going to Hogsmeade in Canon as well, by Dumbledore, and by McGonagall, for his own safety. After all, they all thought that Sirius Black was a traitor and a murderer. Harry's safety is more important than his happiness. Snape is worried about Harry's safety. (At least deep down)
