What a nice surprise to have a new years chapter, i sm glad that sev is still looking out for harry. Post soon and happy new year.

    Author's Response:

Thank you so much. Severus is most definitely looking out for Harry, and that won't change, but fortunately, his feelings of hatred are starting to diminish towards Harry.

I'll try my best not to be so long in updating next time. And Happy New Year to you too!!

Delightful! I particularly enjoyed your snobby Percy with his line "Make way! Coming through!" as if he was a king or something. Also, your Dumbledore played Crouch like a fiddle; I loved those two's mannerisms as well. They were quite realistic!

I hope poor Harry didn't get his ribs broken! That had to hurt! I hope Snape really does care and doesn't let Harry down; I'm routing for them to maintain a relationship!

Great job! I'd ask you to update soon, but that would be rather hypocritical of me, so I'll just say that I can't wait for the next installment!

    -P.G.

    Author's Response:

Oh thank you, but I can't take credit for it, because it was J.K.'s line.  Writing Dumbledore and Crouch was really fun to write.  I took liberties with Crouch in this story. He wasn't this pompus yet in Canon, but I needed him to be for this story. It was very fun to write that conversation!

That Crabbe is a big bafoon. Poor Harry. :(  I think that Snape is battling with very conflicting feelings. He leart over the summer, that Harry is not the spoilt, arrogant boy that he thought he was.  Snape will continue to make mistakes, and to come off at times like an arse, but he can't deny his feelings of protectiveness towards Harry; even if he doesnt' understand why he feels the way he does.

Thanks P.G. Hopefully, now that I've hopefully gotten past the writers block, I'll be able to update more frequently. I'm hoping for once a week, or every two weeks, depending how RL is going. Also, I'm alternating with my other story, so we'll see...

Thanks for reviewing P.G. and yes...I'm really anxious for an update from you too! :)

I'm so happy to see this story continued! I hope that your writers block will stay away.

Albus handled Fudge quite well, I think. I'm not sure where Fudge got the idea that the Potter vault is any of his business at all. His curiousity (or perhaps greed) doesn't give him carte blanche to snoop into someone else's personal business.

I have a feeling that Harry is starting to resemble his true father and that Remus suspects the truth that neither Harry or Severus is aware of. I have a feeling that whatever is hidden in that vault will explain all and I can't wait to find out!

    Great chapter!

    Author's Response:

Oh thanks Silverstargirl. I hope that my writer's blok will stay away too!

Yeah, Albus is very skilled at handling abnoxious people. Of course it's not his business at all, but nape makes everything his business.

Harry's looks are  definitely changing. Only time will tell.

    Thanks!

Great chapter again, Pandora! I think my favorite part was the scene with Dumbledore, Fudge, and Rogers. You have them all perfectly in-character (well, DD and Fudge. Of course Rogers would be IC as he is your own original). But Fudge is just so pompous and irritating, and I love how Dumbledore keeps cutting him down to size, always so politely of course.

And I liked how Harry acknowledged to himself that even though Severus is strict, that he took better care of Harry than the Dursleys ever did.

Great ending too, with Severus coming up just in time. I'm happy that he didn't let the Slytherins off ( I think he wouldn't like Draco calling Lily a Mudblood; wonder if that brought back any memories for him), and even more that he noticed that Harry was hurt and made certain that he was going to the infirmary.

Looking forward to the next chapter!

    Author's Response:

Thanks Kristeh. I had a lot of fun writing that too. I know that in Canon, Fudge was a little more like a jovial figure, and that it was only later in the fourth book that he became so arrogant and pompous, but I decided to have his true colours become apparant a little early in my story.  I always did like how Dumbledore could so graciously put others in their place.

I think that Harry appreciates little things moreso than his peers, because of all that he's had to endure in his short life.  Anyone else may not notice the subtle differences in Snape, but Harry does, and appreciats how the man, while gruff and stern, has taken good care of him, and has protected him since he started at Hogwarts.

Goyle is not too bright, is he?  I mean doing something so stupid right in front of Snape's classroom.  I think that Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle weren't counting on the changed relationship between Snape and Harry. Although, what Harry doesn't know is that Snape does punish his Slytherins, but only in private, and if you notice, he still didn't take points off of Slytherin!!

The only reason that Snape actually reprimanded the Slytherins in front of the other students, is because he was so furious at Draco for calling his beloved Lily a Mudblood. Normally, he would have taken his Slytherin's side, and then handed out a punishment in private.  Also, although he's very good at hiding it, his feelings have changed towards Harry as well, and he simply can't feel the same hate towards Harry anymore--not seeing first hand, the results of the abuse that Harry has sufferd at the hands of his relatives.

Thanks Kristeh, and I'm looking forward to the next chappie of Slave Child too.

    Author's Response:

Hmm..sorry I thought that I responded to all the reviews. Thanks Kristeh.

I loved the scene between DD and Fudge too. Love writing Rodgers; he's so calm and mature and Fudge is so unpredicatble and dangerous.

    Thanks Kristeh.

great story! Both Harry and Snape are very much in character and you write the slowly developing relationship between them really well.

Can't wait for the next chapter!

    Author's Response:

Oh thank you so much. It's not easy getting Snape's character just right, and still have him change his views of Harry. I

    I'll try to update quickly.

Great story! I'm seriously loving the interactions between Severus and Harry and am waiting breathlessly to find out what is in that box. I have a feeling it has to do with Harry's paternity. :D

    Author's Response:

Oh, thank you so much.  Yeah, the box....you could be right!

Welcome to P & S Silversargirl, and thanks for your nice review.

"Snape on the other hand, looked like he was enjoying himself, Harry chuckled to himself, as he stalked from one end of the platform, to the other, robes billowing and rising as he barked at students to get a move on and docked points, with malicious glee."- XD HAHAHA! That was probably my favorite line here. Classic Snape! ^-^

Okay, so now we have Professor Lupin added to the mix. Yay! And poor Harry fainting from Dementors. I've only fainted once when I was really sick, but I think I might have if faced with a Dementor *shivers* They remind me of RingWraiths form LOTR and they're creepy too!

But it's going to be interesting with Lupin AND Snape wanting to watch out for Harry, and now Harry kinda knows Snape care for him (somewhat) and even saw him get mad at Draco.

Ooo! I can't wait for the next chapter!I'm sorry I was so behind, but the past few weeks and all have been hard. But I really loved this and I hope you get better soon Pandora!!!!

    Author's Response:

Thanks Ivy. I love Snape, and yeah that's a typical behaviour that we can imagine Snape doing.

Yeah, Lupin is in the mix now, and it should be interesting to see how Snape and him will interact with regards to Harry.  Harry always has been affected by Dementors throughout Canon, and book 3 sets the stage for that, doesn't it?  They ARE pretty creepy, aren't they?

Thanks Ivy, and I really really really enjoyed your last chappie too, and I can't wait for more.

Oh and thanks. I'm tired of being sick. I've been off of work for a couple of days now, and my boss told me to take tomorrow off too, when he heard me coughing. I hate staying home. I get bored.  But then again....I do have to finish up my fest story, so I can have more time to write.

Oh dear. You start off with a sentence about Snape that almost made me spit out my hot apple cider! Ha!

YAY! LUPIN! I love Lupin! "You don't think that he's died, do you?" Ron cracks me up in your story! I love your writing of Ron. (Hope that when I get to Ron, I can write him even half as well as you can.)

Ooh, Lupin with fire in his hands! Cool! No lumos charm for you, Lupin! You play with fire! *growl*

"I didn't poison the chocolate you know." Lupin...I just love Lupin. Him and his...*cough* monthly-cycle chocolate therapy.

Like Lupin watching Snape interact with Harry curiously. Perceptive little bugger, isn't he?

"or even Invisibility Cloaks!" I burst out laughing there. Yeah, they're all onto Harry's schemes. Do they have a checklist or something? Ways that Harry Potter Sneaks Around and how to Prohibit them. Poor Harry.

WHOA! ANd now we have Dumbledore named as executor of the Potter home!? Oh my gosh! This is very exciting! I am so curious about this will...so curious.

    Author's Response:

Oh well, I really can't take credit for those lines, as they were JK's ideas. I only added on to the dialogue, or changed it around a bit.

The fire was JK's idea, but I wrote the thing abot it peeking through his fingers, because I thought that it was cool too, and I was imagining it in my mind.

Poor Harry indeed. I think that he is going to have a hard time sneaking around with both Dumbledore and Snape watching his back.

I hope that I can write the rest of the story to live up to that excitement!!  Thanks, some answers will be answered....eventually. (Evil, aren't I?)
