Lol I feel the need to point out something here, people in the UK dont call it bog roll, just some odd types and maybe male teenagers!

We call toilet paper 'loo roll'. 'Bog roll' is really quite vulgar. If I'd used the word 'bog' in front of my parents, I'd have had my mouth washed out! I'm in my 40s now and still wouldn't use the word! We tend not to use the word 'toilet' because that is seen as being 'common'. Read the Nancy Mitford books for more information on English customs.
Nice story and a good twist with Harry having the diary.
