Reviews For Where Once Was Light
Author's Response: Thanks! Let the bonding commence! XD
Oh wow, great chapter. I guess I'm a little disappointed too, that Severus can't take Harry to live with him too, but I guess it makes sense that it's too dangerous. I'm so intrigued with this story. Can't wait for the next update! Author's Response: Don't be sad Pandora!! Remember, I am a Slytherin after all. I can be tricksy. *grins evilly* But I'm glad you like it! Thanks again for great review! (but really, don't you want a pinecone?)
Author's Response: Thank you! Your review made me smile! Pinecones and points to you! ^^
My only complaint is that you have several spelling and grammer errors throughout the chapter - I would suggest a beta to look over your work before posting. It's distracting and takes a little something away when there are so many mistakes: A few examples: "badly damaged nerved." - should be nerves. "Changing emotion like that was not health, he should know." - should be healthy. “Go clean out that owl’s cage. We’ll desguss you’re punishment later,” - should be discuss your. Anyway, looking forward to the next chapter. Author's Response: Glad you like the story so far. Thanks for reviewing!
I loved how Severus is still so awkward around Harry and doesn't know how to interact with him, but he's trying and Harry is a pretty perceptive kid, so I think they'll get there. I can see that the appearance-changing thing could be easily misunderstood between them. Harry doesn't mean any slight to Severus, and he's really taking this shocking news very well. But it would be potentially upsetting to think that your physical appearance could change drastically all at once, that you really don't look the way you've always thought you did. I can't blame Harry for being uncertain. Of course it's a little harder for Severus to see, though, probably because of his past enmity with James, and I'm afraid he's so insecure that he might feel rejected, even though Harry doesn't mean it that way. I hope they can work things out without it causing a lot of trouble between them. Oh, I do hope that Severus and Harry will be able to stay together for the rest of the summer and not have to be parted just when they've found one another. Maybe DD will suggest they stay at the castle together, or since no one would expect Severus to stay with the Weasleys, maybe it would be a safe place for him too, assuming the Weasleys agree. And what is that rat up to? Methinks it is an ominous sign. And our son has to study this summer, because back in the spring, he apparently decided the holidays had come early, didn't put much effort into school, and let his grades slip...so he's making up for it this summer. Hopefully he will learn his lesson and take school seriously again when it starts back up in a couple weeks. But oh, yes, I love to read, always have. My daughter enjoys it too, but son...not so much, but we make him anyway. Great job again! Author's Response: lol Yes, rats are NEVER a good sign. (But o your comment made me laugh!) Yeah, both Sev and Harry are sensitive people, in their own way. But I always imagined Sev would get defensive where Harry would get more troubled, and want to make things better. Yeah, I could see the Weasleys taking in Snape too, but could you just imagine the look of Ron's face? He'd die! Sorry to hear about your son. I'm sure he'll do better. Maybe if you brib him with chocolate...? Oh, wait, that's for little kids... *sigh* I'm terrible with small children. Guess that's why I can always sympathize with Snape. Thanks again!!
Nyx Author's Response: Thank you very much! Glad you liked it.
