Slughorn should have just told the truth from the beginning. It would have made things easier for himself and others. Slughorn didn't actually do anything wrong when he answered Tom's question. While it's understandable that he is upset at what the boy did with the information, hiding the truth didn't help his situation.
I'm glad that Harry has met Luna. She's such an interesting girl and I'm sure that he will quickly find her to be a true friend. Her mode of speech and tendency to speak of odd creatures only makes her all the more fascinating. In time, I'm sure that he will learn to listen to Luna closely, which would be wise. She is very intuitive and sees things that others miss.
Author's Response: Yeah, Slughorn's got a lot of guilt, but like I said in the story, how could he have known? He should have told everyone out right instead of hiding it. Things might have gone differently then. But I'm happy you liked Harry meeting Luna. I thought it was about time he had someone else to go around with other than Hermione and Neville. But she will be important to Harry later on. Thanks so much for the review silver!
