Reviews For Where Once Was Light
You've said early in the story that Dumbledore sent healing potions home with Harry. Doesn't that imply strongly that the old goat knew about the abuse? Author's Response: To answer your question, I say yes. I mean, that's the impression I got out of the books too. How could he address Harry's Hogwarts letter to "Mr.Harry Potter from the Cupboard" and not know what was going on? Dumbledore's a stupid wizard when it comes to sometimes, at least to me. And he always "regrets" having to send Harry home to the Dursley every year. I'm never a canon Dumbledore fan. But I'm glad you like the story so far! Thank you for the review!!!
Author's Response: Glad you like it. Thanks for the review!
Can't wait til he confronts Dumbles! Author's Response: Thank ya kindly!!
Author's Response: Thank you! Glad you liked it!
Author's Response: YAY!! Thank you for the review!!!
At the beginning of the chapter I was so frustrated that Severus insists on seeing what he wants to see in regards to Harry, when actually the two have a great deal in common. I was hoping that he would soon come to see that, and I was encouraged when he noticed the bruise on Harry's face, and despite his dislike for the boy, was indignant on his behalf. And now, with this latest revelation, I really am hoping that Severus is about to have his eyes opened! Great job! Author's Response: Thank you! Yeah, not everyone liked my little cliffhanger. But I'm glad you're enjoying this! Means a lot! Thanks again for reviewing!!
Author's Response: Oh, Snape's going to have some fun before he leaves. lol But I can't really tell you what's going to happen because everyone will know then and then they won't wanna read! But I can tell don't sweat about Dumbledore. Sev's got it all planned out. Thanks for the review!!
I hate that Severus feels so poorly about himself and I hope that he will come to see that he can serve the war effort in other ways. And I liked the little flash of memory that stirred and I hope he will remember more and more. Even though this was a rather sad chapter, I had to smile at Severus' thought that he liked teaching, just not people. Hmm, maybe he could be an animal trainer, lol? At least the animals can't talk back...unless its a parrot or something. Oh, you're going to be a history teacher? I was always interested in history, though I'm sure I've forgotten lots by now. Any particular area you're interested in? Author's Response: LOL! I can just see Sev training animals! Something big, slobbery, and is far too affectionate I think, something like Fang. lol That was funny. "No, you insufferable canine! I said STAY! No you blasted beast! No, NO! Get off of me! Stop it!!" lol I could write a story just on that! :) But yes, I want to be a histroy teacher. Medieval European history is my particular favorite. English and German histories my favorite of those. I can't help it, I'm a sucker for the whole "knights in shining armour" kinda thing. I'm also going to try and minor in English or music. Thanks again for the review!!
Just remember Petunia was nice finally and did repent in a way. If possible do not punish her too much. I think she truly will change now. And Severus is really cool! The last sentence "Tea?" was perfect. I could imagine his face when he said that and I love it. Author's Response: Thank you! Means a lot. Don't worry, Sev and Petunia will have a little "discussion" next. Thanks for the review!! :)
Oh, I meant to say in my last review that Vernon and Dudley were awful. I certainly hope they get their come-uppance, the toads! But no, that's an insult to Trevor, isn't it? Author's Response: lol Poor Trevor! I never know how to describe the Dursley men. I like whales too much, and my mother's maiden name was Schwein, so I'm always out of ideas. lol I'm glad you're enjoying it! Thanks so much! :) |
