Reviews For Alea Iacta Est
Author's Response: You shall see. lol. I think you already have though.
I'm so happy that Severus is warming up to Harry, albeit slowly. I particularly liked the line where Severus thought that Harry could have anything he wanted at that moment. And the mural is awesome! It sounds so peaceful and relaxing. Now, what is on Dumbledore's mind? Author's Response: Thanks, Kristeh! That chapter was one of my favorites to write. It was so fun imagining Harry's room, especially the mural. I wanted Harry to have a calm, peaceful place for his upcoming treatments, and while Severus is used to the dungeons, Harry isn't and could easily become depressed stuck underground. This way he has a little piece of the outdoors. Yes, Severus is warming up to Harry. How could he not? There's just something about Harry that makes you like him. I'm so happy you loved all the details. It's great to hear that you could really see things in your mind. :)
But Sev's talk with Harry was very good. His approach to talking to him was amazing. I could see my psychology class coming to life in that section! ^-^ Very very good! My professor would be proud! And Harry's room sounds AMAZING! I think I want that room. I love the ocean and the sea! I'm totally homesick to see the Mediterranean Sea again! I loved it so much, and I can totally understand Harry's joy of it! It really made me smile. Speaking of smiles...Sev crawling on the floor?!?! *falls outta chair* HA! I could TOTALLY see that for some strange reason! XD And Snape yelling at Flurry? Priceless! But Flurry was really sorry to cause her daddy trouble, wasn't she? lol That was great. But uhoh! Dumbles is back. What's he gunna say? I can't stand the wait! So I won't! Off to the next chappie! Favorite lines: "There wasn't much despite his enjoyment of cooking. It was like potions except tastier and less explosive." "Flurry would be most displeased"- okay this line deserves ten thousand points, seriously! That is just so funny to me for some reason. It's just like, what the heck? Did Snape really just say that, using the name Flurry? LOL It was great! XD Author's Response: Don't you hate classes? There were so many pointless ones I took that I ended up skipping most of them. Oops. Well, when you can get an A in a math class with only going 20% of the time because you took a math class that was similar to your algebra 2 class in high school, why go? lol. I'm a horrible example when it comes to gong to classes. Yay, Ivy can read and study at the same time. ;) I have a friend who's bipolar among other things, so I know quite a bit about psychology, and I tend to use that knowledge in my writing. I want Harry's room, too. Well his mural anyway. The waves and the sound of them are the only thing I like about the beach, and I live like 30 miles from it! I absolutely hate sand, not to mention even the tiniest fish freak me out. Yes, I'm a wimp when it comes to critters, creatures, etc. I love writing that part with Snape crawling on the floor. It was fun and something you don't see ever. lol. As for you favorite line, I know you have animals so you know that eventually you start saying things for them. I don't think even Snape can be immune from that.
I think the moving mural is an awesome idea. It sounds very soothing, which Harry will be needing later on, I'm sure. Severus crawling around on the floor looking for a pill bottle makes me smile. And then poking it out from being stuck with his wand! Haha! That was funny. ;-) And again with the whole muggle healing thing. I really like this about your Snape. I like that he employs such things and does not pass them off, simply because they're not magical. He sees the uses in them and that is awesome. With all that he went through at Voldemort's hand, I'm sure having some Vicodin pills was extremely useful. And judging by the fact that he gave Harry only half a pill, the dosage must have been pretty high to begin with. Poor Severus... well, at least he is free of that for now. :-) Great read and yay! You have posted another chapter! Author's Response: I'm happy you're enjoying my story so much. I like showing a multi-faceted Snape. In Rowling's books, we only saw Sev through Harry's point of view, which is extremely biased, so there's so much we don't know about him, making writing about him that much more fun. I got the pill bottle idea from my own cat. She often loses her toys under the furniture and when we go to rearrange, it's like a treasure trove under it. LoL.
Author's Response: Thanks. I would love to have one, too. It's like the only part I like about the beach. I know Vicodin is very habit-forming. (I watch House LoL), but it would be totally out of character for Sev to have wimpy Tylenol lying around.
Author's Response: Thanks. We'll have to wait and see what Dumbledore has to say. I'm going to try to write the chapter tonight, so we'll so how far I get.
Love the mural! I wants one. Author's Response: He always wants something doesn't he? Thanks. i want one, too.
Author's Response: Yep, you got two. =) That's what happens when I end up splitting a chapter. |
