Reviews For Alea Iacta Est
This is an amazing story! Kudos!
The one good thing is that he does have Severus now. And Severus was just perfect here. He was strong and comforting, yet honest. It's hard for Harry to believe and accept still, but Severus is extremely loyal and dedicated. I know he'll be there for Harry and help him through this awful time. Excellent writing! Author's Response: Thanks so much! In canon, it's amazing how Harry never really seems to suffer emotionally despite everything he goes through. I wanted to really delve into his psyche and develop his mental side and show the effects of what's he's been forced to endure. I'm happy to hear Severus was perfect here. He really had to step up this chapter and you're right about him being honest. Lying here wouldn't have done anything to help the tentative trust developing here.
No, actually, I'm sad, but I'm not really desperately depressed right now. You know why? Cuz Sev was there to help! I LOVE the emotion throughout this, the whole thing! It was great! Harry was crying and screaming and cried some more (which I think he's entitled to in this story) and Sev kept it cool even though I'm sure on the inside he was just about as hysterical as Harry. Man, I love drama! This was just so good! But now Harry's feeling sick from the treatment. How sad!! But Sev's there to take care of him. He basically just told Harry in a roundabout way that he'd adopt him. So yay Sev! Way cute! But stay with Snape's parents? The HIPPIES?!?! That should be fun! *grins evilly*XD What will Mrs. Prince have to say about Sev?? Oh the possibilities! Well, since you gave me a lollie, it would be rude for me not to give you anything in return, so I'll give you a big ol' smile to lighten this sad chapter! :D (real Ivy smile's so much better) Author's Response: *Hands over lollipops* Yay, I'm so happy you liked this chapter. It was horrible to write, well emotionally draining and felt like torture by the end. All the dialogue pretty much came at once and I didn't want to stop that flow, so afterwards I had to go back and fill it all in. That part soooo sucked and seemed like it took forever. By then I was like on hour eight of writing the chapter, and it was way too long to be so involved with the chapter. I somewhat inserted myself into Harry's point of view and so yeah. Sev's parents will be very minor characters. Later on they'll appear more I think. Yes, poor Harry. He's already feeling sick and it isn't looking like he'll feel better anytime soon. Ugh, well I'm off to bed so I can not be dead during my 9:30 am class. I know it doesn't sound super early, but it takes me like 40 mins to get there, so I get to get up at 7:30. Yay, not. Thanks!
Author's Response: Thanks! Of course you can have a lollipop and a tissue. Even the man known as the greasy git can't act horribly towards a sick child. Sev does have a heart buried deep somewhere. ;)
I hope Sev will be able to help Harry pick up his pieces in the next chapter...and yes the chemo injection >_< will he still trust his new found ally...I hope so. Yes I am still depressed and after remembering about the chemo shot I'm anxious now too! >_< I want to give Harry MANY big hugs. Candy is fine it'll make me happy tissue would remind me I could get sick any time soon if I don't go to sleep soon lol! Author's Response: Harry's a very confused and sick child at the moment, and it'll take a while before he all his issues are sorted out. We'll see if Harry trusts Sev after the chemo injection soon. I'm not quite sure how that's going to play out yet. Thanks!
The whole comfort scene was amazing! I'm really glad he's starting to recognize that he feels safe around Sev. I think it'll take a while, though, before he fully believes that Snape won't leave him. He's spent his entire life without an adult that he could rely on for everything, and now that he has one, it's going to take some time for it to completely sink in that Severus is there to stay. Yet another wonderful chapter! I'm sorry I wasn't around the other night. I'll be sending you an email to explain. Author's Response: Thanks! It'll take a while before he fully believes Sev won't leave him. He'll need to be reminded quite a few times.
Author's Response: Thanks!
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed my story. Sev and Harry's relationship will continue to develop and their interaction will reflect that.
Author's Response: Well, whatever works. Tissue, paper towel, though tissues are a bit softer. ;) Thanks! |
