Reviews For Alea Iacta Est
Looking forward to the next chapter; I like Flurry. Author's Response: Flurry is one likable little kitty. Then again, how can anyone not like a cute little white cat? Harry and Sev are still adjusting to each other and the situation. I'm sure as Harry learns he can trust Severus, things will go more smoothly between them.
Poor Harry, being sick all night long. But good thing Sev was there with him, but oh, how horrible to watch it all so helplessly! I don't think I could have done that. *winces* I think I'd have to just walk away to collect my emotions, but Snape hung in there, didn't he? And Miss Lucy (cute name, by the way)there and now Harry feels betrayed! How sad! Poor Sev...but it all worked out in the end, which I'm glad of. I don't think Harry could have really dealt with that seperation too. And the wand, magic, thing was adorable! ^-^ I'm glad Harry is still remembering that he's a wizard. Way, way cute! And Sev's encouraging, so it's all good...kinda.... Well, I'm actually off to read my first chappie of the night! Author's Response: Sev is totally being Harry's rock. This first week for Harry is going to be really hard. His body just doesn't like the cancer meds. There's going to be some feeling things out between Sev and Harry. Neither of them know how to really make their relationship or one like it work, and there'll be some trial and error. Harry's apprehensive about using magic at the moment. After all, his magic hasn't been working right and in that position would you really want to use it with others around to likely see your failure?
Author's Response: Thank you. I'm happy to hear that someone loved the we vs. you thing. It totally came out of nowhere when I was writing, and I like it so much that I made it the chapter title. :)
Now I must prepare myself for "A Flurry of Precautions" :D More candy yay! TY! Author's Response: I'm happy he was reasonable, too, though I think he didn't have much in him to be unreasonable. Emotionally, he's drained from his breakdown still. Yes, now you must prepare for "A Flurry of Precautions." ;) Thanks!
Author's Response: Thanks. Yes, our kitty will be back. She'll give us a humorous moment before we delve back into the darker stuff. =)
So, we'll get to see more of Flurry next chapter? I can't wait! Here's a smile for you! :D Author's Response: Thanks! Harry's driven by pain at the moment, so I think Sev's explanation hit the chord that he avoid a potentially painful procedure. Plus, he's in a delicate state emotionally at the moment and isn't up for a fight or argument. Yes, we'll definitely see more of Flurry next chapter. *smiles* I got it. =)
Author's Response: I'm glad he learned it, too. It's amazing what a little spell can do, isn't it? Despite Sev insisting he isn't a shrink teaching kids and being a spy gives him a great practical education concerning the psychological nature of people, and this will help him with Harry. You're welcome and thank you!
Is that the same as Miss Adamson or was that an Oops? Author's Response: It's the same as Miss Adamson. In Chapter 14, I believe, she gave Harry the option to call her Miss Lucy and as that part was in his POV, he sometimes calls her that in his head.
Oh, I just love how gentle and considerate that Snape is being, and somehow you just pull it off and it's believable. You just did the transition so smoothly, that I didn't even blink an eyelid, or question it, like I do with some stories. You've done such a marvelous job with this story. You write like you have experience with this dreadful disease. I can't wait for more Ella, simply beautiful writing. That's all I can say. Author's Response: Thanks, Pandora! Your review really made me smile. I'm relieved that Harry wasn't upset, too. I'm so glad to hear it's believable. I know it's quick, but for some reason it works. Even I can't explain it. ;) I guess it goes to show that a serious illness really changes a lot of things. I mean what's petty reasons for "hating" each other when there's a sick child in the picture.
Author's Response: Thanks! Did you get a strawberry, grape, butterscotch, or cinnamon one? They can be quite adorable can't they? ;) |
