Reviews For Alea Iacta Est
Great chapter! If only Harry could have seen Minerva and Flurry...
Author's Response: I hope you got your work done, and that I was able to give you some procrastination material. ;) Thanks!
I liked the description of Severus' library. It sounds like a perfect place to spend a peaceful afternoon. Perhaps Severus will agree to let Harry show it to Hermione some time too...she would think she'd died and gone to Heaven! Great idea of Severus' to have Minerva change to her cat-form to explain to Flurry. Wonderful job again! Author's Response: Thanks! I think if Harry didn't feel awkward and uncertain it would be unrealistic, especially considering he's a guy and not used to expressing any of his emotions besides anger. Harry and Sev really are alike in that way. Sev's library would be an amazing room to have. I'd love to have a place like that to spend a peaceful afternoon. Hopefully, Harry will be well enough to get some use of it soon. I think once Severus gets used to Hermione, he'll agree to let Harry show her the library. Writing that cat scene was probably the scene I've had the most fun writing so far. I could totally picture little Flurry in my head being lectured.
'"I assure you the walls are too thick for me to hear how you and your housemates plan my demise," Snape said, his lips curling up into the slightest smile.'-Best line! XD That was too funny! He even KNOWS how much the students don't like him. LOL That was great! Okay, so now I REALLY want Snape's library! It sounds so COOL! I'd totally live in there!...if it had internet access so I could read on my laptop too, of course XD But it really does sound like my perfect library. Minerva and Flurry was an amazing idea! Poor Flurry though. She knows Harry and she just wants to love him! Sev's gunna have to let her sleep with him more often now. I wish I knew exactly what McGonagall said to Flurry though...oh well. It was very cute! Well, Ella, this was amazing and I love it to bits! I'll have to read later on! Oh, I'm Slytherin, and was Harry looking at LOTR? I think Sev would be a Tolkien fan! XD Author's Response: Yay, Ivy. I totally agree with you about the library. Harry's too thin at the moment, and most of it isn't even from his cancer. After Sirius died, Harry was depressed and somewhat withdrawn, a perfect recipe for not being hungry. He's thin to begin with, and it doesn't take much for him to be too thin. I'm happy to hear you loved that line. I like that one, too. The Minerva and Flurry scene was one of those that I had the idea for, for quite some time and couldn't wait to write. It was a lot of fun to write, and I can still totally picture little Flurry sitting there at attention. I'm sure whatever McGonagall said was very teacher like. Oh, and 5 points to Slytherin! ;) Thanks again, Ivy!
Author's Response: 5 points to you! It was inevitable Severus would start to wonder about Harry's home life. You can't live with a person and not start to notice the little things, especially when the observer is Severus, a former spy. As for the teaching thing, he'll only be teaching four classes, which means he'll have one or two classes a day to teach. He won't be teaching more than three hours a day at the very longest. I think it's important for Severus to still retain some teaching duties as it'll give him a much-needed break from caring for Harry. During that time, Poppy, Miss Adamson, or even Minerva if she has a free period will stay with Harry. The germs on the student work won't be a problem after passing through the sterilization charm Severus set on his chambers.
Author's Response: Thanks! I always believed Severus had a human-side to him. lol. He is after all human. ;) He's just been hurt in the past and anyone who's had that happen to them won't trust as easily and naturally withdraw from people.
Author's Response: You're welcome and 5 points to Slytherin! I had so much fun writing the scene with Minerva and Flurry. I've had the idea for a while and couldn't wait to write it. I wanted Sev's library to kinda be the opposite of scary huge university libraries. They honestly scare me, and frustrate me every time I try to find a book in them. lol. I think the library will be a great study place for Harry as I can't see him being one to sit at the desk in his room to do his coursework. I don't think I'll get an update up tomorrow. I haven't started it yet, oops, and Saturdays are horrible days for me. Not only do I have to get up super early so I can get to class by 9:30 (I'm usually up til 4 am), but I usually have to work. Blah. Tomorrow I have to close, so at least when I get home I'll be able to take a nap for like two hours before going into work, but that almost makes it worse because it's like you have to get up twice in one day to do something, but if I don't take a nap I'll die by the time we close. I think I'm going to start on my challenge fic tonight, and try to get a feel for it. I plan to use first person which I haven't written in for a long time. We'll see how that goes. lol. Happy early birthday! I hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow and eat lots of yummy cake.
The chapter was nice! M. Author's Response: Nope, but a nice guess and thanks! That chapter was a lot of fun to write.
Author's Response: 5 points to Slytherin! Thanks!
"He poked the Cupid's left eye with his finger." haha I wonder how he felt doing that :P Author's Response: LOL. You'll just have to wait and see which book it was... I'm glad you pointed that part out. It was symbolic since Cupid symbolizes love, and so Sev poking Cupid's eye kinda shows what he thinks of love. Thanks! |
