Oh, great job. How sweet of Severus to make Harry a smoothie and to want to be sure to have foods that Harry likes.

I like Severus has realized how much he still needs to know about Harry, and that he is really caring for him now.

Of course Harry is nervous about the chemo starting...who wouldn't be? But I hope that it won't be too bad for him, and I'm glad that he at least has a real home and someone who cares to look after him.

    Author's Response:

Thanks! Severus had to figure it out eventually that he really doesn't know Harry at all. It happens to people all the time, even close friends who don't bother to notice a person's eating habits or certain likes or dislikes. Of course even if he did really know Harry, it's different living with a person.

Harry does have a real home and someone who cares about him know so that should help him as he goes through his chemo. Harry will need some of your hope, so he'll appreciate it if you send some of it his way.

Yay smoothies! They truly are a magical drink! ;D I'm glad Sev thought of them for Harry.

Oh! And now the chemo begins! I'm so nervous! I love the angsty chappies, but at the same time I hope Harry doesn't go through too much *bites nails* Poor kid!

Again, great chappie Ella! (hope I helped my house with your little competition *looks nervous*)

    Author's Response:

I'm sure there'll be lighter moments intermixed with the angst. They just always seem to pop up while I'm writing. You totally helped with the little house competition though I think everyone but one person was a Slytherin, if I remember correctly. It's late and it's been quite a bit of time since I wrote that chapter.

I'm glad Harry likes smoothies because I'm totally with Snape on them. Something about the texture and opaqueness freaks me out. Then again, I can't stand milk, milkshakes, or yogurt so that pretty much takes smoothies out the mix for me.

Great chapter. Smoothies sound like a great idea. Easy to keep down too. :) Can't wait to find out how chemo goes!

Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad you like the smoothies. Unfortunately it doesn't matter how easy something is to keep down for Harry... I should have the next chapter posted tomorrow sometime since I'm almost through writing. :)

Great job as always! I am looking foward to reading more, you are doing a fantastic job. I loved that Severus is becoming more and more caring for Harry, with the smoothie and wanting to ensure that he has food that not only Harry WILL eat, but WANT to eat. It was also very endearing to see Sev's reaction towards Harry's reaction to his smoothie, I'm glad that Severus was proud of himself. It was sweet to see Harry's reaction towards his just now discovered bedding and his facination with every kind gesture. I had to seriously laugh when Snape was waking up Harry at the beginning and the child thought that he was Ron. LOL, I'm glad that Severus didn't tease him about wanting to "skip potions." hehe. It was refreshing to see Snape caring not only for Harry's physical state but his mental one as well (noticing that Harry could easily go headlong into depression), as it is often that one's mental state determine's how one's physical state responds to treatment. I hope that Voldemorte doesn't get wind that Harry is fighting his other voldemorte, but if the pycho does, I know that Sev will protect him. I think that it is awesome that Harry's starting to trust Snape enough to depend on his words and allow himself to sleep knowing that Snape is there if anything goes amiss. Poor boy though. I wonder if there were any letters in the post, particularly from Hermoine and Ron and family. I can't imagine them just giving up on contacting Harry. LOL, I'm surprised that they haven't done more than they have already, now understanding Harry is so sick and COULD die. LOL, though I know she wouldn't at first know really what cancer was, I'm surprised that Molly hasn't stormed in yet..lol...she's a big mother hen, that she is! I'm sure Hermoine has gotten every book at the local libraries and bookstores on leukemia and is more than "eager" on sharing the information with Ron and his family. Since this is a Sevitus and is under the father section but doesn't include an "adoption" warning, I wonder when Sev and Harry will figure that out! I hope Dumbly didn't do anything...well...dumb, like oblivating Severus "for his and the good for all" earlier. It's pretty obvious that he DOES know something since he did get Snape to sign the supplycoughcoughpermissionslipcoughcoughearlier. Wow, I probably ought to get that cough checked out! If it does turn out that Dumbledore did do something so stupid, may I have permission to turn my slythern wand on him? Well, just wait, I won't even ask, I'll just do it. I wonder how Sev and Hary will discover the truth, I'm guessing it will be something to do with having to get a bone marrow transplant since you are typically supposed to have a relative's blood and magic type. Then again, that would man that Harry's chemo didn't work...poor boy and no, I'm not asking, just thinking "outloud"..."outtype?" I am looking foward to reading the next few chapters since they will have a nice tough of agnst in them. I'm anxious to read it, but understand about real life too. I remember you saying you go to uni, and work at a department store, I work at Kohls' Department Store, where do you work? Anyways...great chapter as always and just to let you know how happy I am with this story, I first read it on my PHONE the MOMENT I woke up at 6 AM, then now when I am on a computer had to retype my WHOLE review because the first one got lost when said computer messed up. It's taken me an hour between the two reviews (remembering what I wanted to say and all that...lol.

    Author's Response:

Thanks so much! Someone else reads chapters on their phone when they wake up like I do. Yay! lol. ;)

Sev knows that Harry's chemo treatments will adversely affect his appetite, and he's trying to find foods that are full of calories to get Harry some nourishment, practically an opposite of a diet, but with nutrient filled food. I'm glad someone pointed out the little exchange between Harry and Sev when Severus was waking him up. I liked that little part. I don't think Sev will forget it, and might tease Harry a bit later about it, in a good way when Harry is up for it.

As a spy, I think Severus is attuned to recognizing people's mental states, so that'll be an asset in helping Harry through his treatments. So much of anything is mental, and Harry in some ways needs more care mentally than physically after his childhood. The way Harry trusts Sev is kinds strange. He trusted him with his life even when he hated Sev, so it's like opposite in the way most others trust people. lol.

I think there was a letter for Harry, but also another interesting one... Molly will certainly have a few things to say when she sees Harry next. You're right in assuming that Hermione and Ron didn't keep it a secret. You may need to keep your wand handy. I think you'll want to use it later.

I work at Old Navy, home of the freaky Supermodelquinns. It's not bad, but we've had some newer people that just don't get things that make things super frustrating because I work in logistics so everything is based on when we get done and how we put things out. Thanks again!

    Yay go Slytherins! XD
Yay to fruit smoothies! Though bananas are too sweet for me :P
Harry was so cute with his bed linnens, I wonder if it really feels that nice? I don't have bed linens lol just mattress cover and blanket. *sigh* Chemo T_T so afraid of that, it's a last resort in my opinion, I wish Severus and Harry the best.

    Author's Response:

Bananas are too sweet for you? Wow, I've never heard that being the problem for a person before. Then again, I have quite a sweet tooth.

Fresh, quality bed linens really do feel that nice. lol. I don't use a flat sheet, but I can totally tell the difference between my Egyptian cotton one and my others even though it's only like 350 thread count. Next time you're at the store, feel the sample or open the little package of like a 750 count sheet set and you'll wish they were yours. lol.

Sev and Harry will need your wishes. It won't be an easy road for either of them...

Author's Response: Thanks! Don't be too jealous yet and remember that the story is set in 1996 not today...

Brilliant chapter can't wait for the next update soon

Author's Response: Thanks! I hope to start on the next chapter tonight, but I don't know if I'll finish it, and tomorrow I know I'll be useless after class and work, so hopefully by Monday I'll get the next one up. If it goes as I think it will, it promises to be angsty. ;)

Aw, it's so sweet that Severus made Harry smoothies. That was so considerate of him; that and making him comfortable with the silk sheets and all the pillows.
Severus has really changed, hasn't he? I love how he's taking care of Harry, and I love this story!

Nice work as usual, can't wait for the next chappie.

Author's Response: I don't think Sev would like you calling him or anything he did sweet. lol. ;) He's certainly gone through a change in the way he treats Harry, and the next few chapters promise to be angsty. I have a few twists up my sleeves yet...
