Your doing great, I like the attack just being an attack, it shows that Volde is just cruel and not winning focused.

I have no cold weather yet but lots of rain when it hit -1 Celsius I will happily send it your way. Post soon

Author's Response: Thanks! Voldemort is definitely cruel. He likes to torture people just for the "fun" of it.

Hey there, I loved this chapter! I am glad that you went with a mental attack rather than a vision, the first is hardly seen in stories and the last is seen a lot. It would be expected though to see a vision sometime. :-D It was sweet to see Harry obey Severus's command to "look at his eyes," the child had to have known what was coming but yet, trusted in Snape still. It was welcoming to see that the place in which "little Harry" escaped to in his mind was naturally...a beach, which makes sense since "big Harry" wants to go to a real one. The sandcastle idea was cute too. :-D Hmm...I wonder if "Hitler" found out about Harry's cancer, I hope not, but it's possible. Hopefully, they (and we!) will find out why Harry's scar bled, when it normally does not, but then again, that was the first time an instance like that had happened, correct? It sounds as though Miss Adamson is a bit jealous that Severus is taking care of Harry's scar and not her. Hehe. It's sad, yet touching that even when Severus didn't like Harry, he still in a tremendous way, cared far more than any of the adults who did claim to care for the child. It was refreshing to see that Severus reassured Harry that this new...outward caring for...was not an act. Also it was good knowing that Harry is maturing, wanting to make sure that he won't get addicted to the pain meds, or as I like to call them, the "Happy Meds." It looks as though the new meds for nauseasa aren't going ot work either, poor Harry, but it makes for a more interesting story. LOL, when I write stories (haven't written any HP ones), I like to torture my favorite characters...actually in one of my stories, the main character also has ALL, I started that one almost two years ago...lol...Anyways, I am glad that Snape, though willing to let the subject be for right now, has told Harry that they WOULD have to talk about the Dursley's sometime, a very responsible choice. I am looking forward to the letter's contents, and hope that you can update soon, though I know how work is (I'm having to rush this review because I have to be at Kohl's shortly), we also have winter things in, but where I live it's gone down to 60s-70s now, sometimes lower in the day. I'm enjoying the cooler weather so I won't take you up on the warmer weather, as I wish it would get slightly cooler soon. Thanks anyways. hehe. Er...I've been thinking, has Voldy gotten something to do with the way Dumby's acting, I mean directly, like did he cause the headmaster's reaction or was it purely the headmaster? I'm probably overthinking it through. Oh and Flurry enjoyed her visit, she loved playing in the falling Autumn leaves (can you tell I like Autumn...hehe) and teasing Zac. He liked her though and even played a rousing game of chase with her. Anyways, gotta fly and my Firebolt is calling. Still keeping my wand pointed at Dumby though.

    Author's Response:

I love how you pick up the little things I write. I'm always interested in seeing if people pick up those small things like Severus' command for Harry to look at his eyes and the beach connection. We'll find out why Harry's scar bled. The reason isn't as sinister as you think.

I think Severus that even when he's a jerk has a certain set of morals pertaining to children. He'll be nasty and harsh to them, but child abuse is one of those lines not to be crossed. Whether Harry's childhood involved physical abuse or not remains to be seen, but neglect and verbal abuse can be more harmful than physical abuse.

It's too bad that new anti-emetic isn't working for Harry, isn't it? *excited for more angst* lol. Torturing characters is always fun.

Snape is still watching out for Harry's mental state, so he knows he can't just force Harry to speak about the Dursleys.

Voldemort has nothing to do with the way Dumbledore's acting. That's something I can tell you for sure. lol.

Sev will be featured in the next chapter, and yes it has something to do with the letter. ;) Thanks!

Another wonderful chapter. I really hate Voldy!! Harry just can't cut a break. Loved that it was Severus that forced his "former master" out of Harry's head! Trust is building, even a "father/son type bonding." Can't wait for the next one!

Author's Response: Thanks! Voldemort always underestimated Sev, so it's great for him to show Voldemort that he's not any ordinary wizard. Trust is building, which is huge, but there's a few things that might put a bump in that road...

Brilliant chapter can't wait for more

Author's Response: Thanks! The next chapter promises to bring some Severus related angst that'll be fun to read and write. ;)

I liked the attack--well, it was well written and well played out. It just seemed to "fit" here--I'm afraid to admit I'd been watitng for the other shoe to drop. Now they can start working in that direction as well.

As always I'm looking forward to your next posting. Thank you for the efforet you put into your story.

    V.

Author's Response: You're right it just seemed to fit there. Voldemort was out of the picture, and it was only a matter of time before the other shoe dropped. I'm happy to hear you liked the attack and that you thought it was well-written and played out. The next chapter will focus on Sev and he'll be taken by surprise which is always fun. Thank you and you're welcome!

    Oh, Flurry is just lovely.
Much better than my cat who is too hyper and won't snuggle :(

I loved this chapter. Voldemort's attack was very will written. The battle between them was neat. And I loved little Harry building sandcastles, that made me smile despite the seriousness of that part.

Author's Response: I'm happy to hear you loved Harry building sandcastles. It was a tiny reading respite during the angst. Thanks!

Good chapter. I liked that ya went with the attack rather than a vision. So good for you!

Occlumency lessons are something I am always curious to see in new stories, cause each author does it a bit differently.

I love that Harry is beginning to depend on and trust Snape and that Snape is letting him. I always thought the two would make a good team, if they could ever learn to get along. ;-)

Looking forward to the next chapter!

    Author's Response:

Thanks! I love reading other people's versions of Occlemency lessons, too. There's something so intriguing about the mind and being able to read, enter, or attack it.

I agree that the two even in canon would've made a great team if they could've gotten along. They had so much in common even though they didn't realize it.

Harry will slowly begin to trust Sev with more and more, but of course that trust will be tentative for a while. Harry's had too many disappointing adults in his life to trust easily.

    I like this new Snape!
    More please!

Author's Response: This new Snape is great, isn't he? Hopefully I'll have the new chapter up by Tuesday. Thanks!
