Reviews For Alea Iacta Est
And I just wanted to tell Sev not to be stupid when Minerva came and offered to sit with Harry...if anyone short of Voldemort comes to give him a chance to catch up on his sleep, he'd darn well better take it, lol! He needs to follow the adage that parents of a newborn quickly learn: You sleep when they sleep, cause you might not get another chance. Great chapter again! Author's Response: I'm happy to hear you liked the letter. I wanted to do something different a bit different than I've read before. Sev is shaken. He's a bit confused because he doesn't know exactly what to think yet, but if there's one thing we know about Severus. He won't rest until he gets his answers. Severus totally hasn't learned the whole sleep when they sleep thing yet. I think maintaining control and not relinquishing that even for a few hours is one way he's coping. Don't worry, Minerva will knock some sense into him. Thanks!

But poor Sev! He's all tired and corn-fused and doesn't know what to do! But his anxiety makes for our amusement. ;3 he's a good sport about it though...but I'm sure if he found out he wouldn't be! lol "Mustering up courage, enough to confuse the Sorting Hat to put him into Gryffindor, Severus opened his eyes, unprepared for the results before him."- best line!!! I loved it! Very, very good! It just brightened something inside me for some odd reason or other. I don't know, I guess I'm just weird sometimes ^_^ But oh, what now? What's everyone going to say NOW?!?! Oh! I can't wait! So I won't! Thanks for the candy, bye! *speeds off to next chappie* Author's Response: Yay, Ivy likes Harry's name. I wanted to pretty much follow the pattern of Sev's name in the Latin naming tradition because I picture the Prince family having a naming tradition like the other pureblood families. It also frustrated me in the series that Harry wasn't short for something. Harry is a good name for a child, but it doesn't sound very distinctive or respectable once he becomes an adult, know what I mean? I'm glad you liked that line. That one gave me a bit of a trouble to figure out the phrasing to sound right, so I'm glad it came out well. Yes, I'm sure you were off to read the next chapter right away. ;)
Can't wait for the next chapter! Author's Response: Ugh, cavities are the devil. I totally feel you on that. How about a pack of sugar-free gum instead? Yay, I caught you by surprise. Reading isn't nearly as fun when you can predict everything that's going to happen. Thanks!
Author's Response: I think including that last word is almost more suspenseful because now you're wondering what's going to happen next. It is really hard on the carer. Before my grandpa died, he was in the hospital for like 3 months and my grandma used to call me several times a week, and you could just hear how tired and on edge she was.
Author's Response: I don't think Severus will tell Harry right away, though I think he'll end up telling Harry faster than he'd like after quite an interesting Order meeting...
Author's Response: I'll try to hurry, but this weekend, well today and Saturday are crazy busy for me. Thanks!
Author's Response: Thanks! The next few chapters will feature some drama as more characters make their appearances.
Author's Response: Yep, poor guy gets a sick teenager rather than a newborn, though Sev is pretty much getting as much sleep as if he did have a newborn. |
