P'cahn is my favorite kind of pie (tho' I avoid it until my willpower finally caves in)! I imagine it to be a Southern cousin of Harry's treacle tart! Once, some woman working at the Dairy Queen drive-thru kept trying to CORRECT my pronunciation of "pecan": she wouldn't fill my Blizzard order when I said "p'cahn" & kept trying to force me to say "PEE-can"! / MAN!!!-- I was practically holding my breath by the end of this chapter, and THEN Severus didn't even get to the Ministry! Guess I'll BREATHE while waiting for you to update! ;-)

    Author's Response:

Yes, please breathe while you're waiting. Sev will learn some very interesting things at the Ministry. I hammered out the details of Harry's parentage the other day with my friend, and I must admit I'm excited to see how it'll go over.

Your Dairy Queen story reminds me of the first time I went to DQ after moving to Alabama, though we went inside. I ordered a medium cookie dough blizzard with extra cookie dough and no chocolate sauce. Fine, right? Well apparently this Yankee speaks too fast. After the third time, I slowed it down like super slow, and I must say that they did make my blizzard right.

lol apparently what I typed in my first review didn't show up so all that was visible was "I", blerg. Anyway I loved this chapter and I nearly exploded from happiness when I got on to PandS and found that you had updated this story, it's one of my favs :)

Author's Response: I figured something like that happened. i know you were suffering from withdrawals, so I'm happy to hear you loved this chapter. :)

Loved the idea of Severus dressing up to become Severus Prince. I can't wait to read the next chapter and find out what happens at Wizarding Children Services. And what was in the letter that Dumbledore took.

Author's Response: Thanks! He had to look different somehow and what better than to dress up. The next chapter Sev will start to get his answers, and he's totally in for a surprise.

"Albus hid a smile behind his teacup. He had caught the letter before his young professor saw its contents."- okay, what an @$$&*#%!!! Jerk! Is this a new letter, or was it the old one that Sev got? OH!! I'm so mad at Dumbles right now!!! Jerk!

And Sev's tempertantrum was great! Loved the emotion. But poor man, pushing Harry away because he's scared, and poor boy, scared that he's gunna be sent away...:( But on the lighter side of thing, Severus Prince sound HOT!! ^-^ I imagine him looking more like Alan Rickman than Alan Rickman all pale looking like Snape. :D (I love that man!)

I usually don't do this unless people as me, but I did find a few typo thingys you might check out:"father if they figured out Severus Prince and Severus Snape was the same person."-sorry, but this bothered me. I believe you should change "was" to "were" since you talk about two different names even though it's the same person. Was just sounded wrong to me, but maybe I'm wrong..."Severus hated useless paperwork that did nothing but took up his time"- I think "took" should be "take" here. And the line where Harry asks if Severus can stay, Sev's line after doesn't make since to me. I think you meant for him to say, "I must go," but it just says "I must" which makes it sound like he's telling Harry he "must" stay.: I don't mean to offend, and if you want me to shut up, then by all means say so! Heavens knows I make mistakes ALL the time.

I really loved this chapter and I can't wait for the update! Hey!- I'm up-to-date! YAY!! Phew! Well, let's see here now, pecans...I say "P'cawn". "pee-cawns" has too may syllables for me and "pee-can" sounds too much like the breed of duck (Pekin). ^-^ So I'll await for your next update!

    Author's Response:

It was a new letter. Albus has his reasoning and it'll start to be unraveled next chapter.

I'm happy to hear you loved Sev's little temper tantrum. I'm glad you picked up on why Severus was pushing Harry away.

I'll go fix those little typos. Though the if sentence is actually somewhat interesting grammatical wise. lol. If you go back to the if and think of the if phrase rule, was is used for things that are possible and were for things that aren't. That's why I used was. Took is a result of past tense writing. I'll totally go fix that one. I'll have to go look at the last one to see the whole line in context.

Yay, you are up to date. Congrats! ;) Now you have to wait like everyone else. lol.

Very nice chapter. Can't wait to see what happens next. Oh - and any Southerner will tell you it's P'cawn (accent on the 2nd syllable).....a pee-can is something you urinate in.

Author's Response: Thanks. I'm looking forward to getting the next chapter written and out to you guys to see what you think, though I'm jammed for time until Monday. :(

Dumbles that old fart! Stealing Sev's mail! He probably knew the whole time that Sev was Harry's father! Coot!! He needs a butt-kickin'

Ps: P'cawn or Pee-can. I live in Georgia, both are used.

Author's Response: I'm not sure you'll be totally blaming Dumbledore after the next chapter... ;)

I am definitely enjoying this story. But I also want to wring Dumbledore's neck- the meddling fool. I'm excited for Snape to give everyone the what-for.

Author's Response: Dumbledore has his reasons... I'm happy to hear you're enjoying my story, and I'm excited to hear the response once I get the next chapter written. I hammered out the details with my friend last night and I'm excited with what I came up with.

You have a pecan tree? That's neat. I'm not really sure how I say pecan, lol. I think I alternate between the three you listed... My Mom says P'cawn, I know that for sure...

PS: I enjoyed the chapter :)

    Author's Response:

Our subdivision used to be a pecan grove, (I think that's what they're called. lol) so the tree came with the house. We used to have three, but took down two of them because of the mess they made and the possibility of them falling on the house during a hurricane.

I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the chapter. Thanks!

    Hey there,

Let's see, I say "P-cawn," as I am from the South. I'd also like a bag of pecans for my reward for reviewing.

Great chapter as always. Though it was not action filled, you still managed to do it up right. I really enjoyed the chapter. I'm glad that Severus is wise enough to realize that he shouldn't trust Dumby, who by the way, curtousy of me, has had several hexes hurled at him due to his stealing Sev's mail. Hey Dumby, that's against the law (at least Muggle law, not sure about Wizarding) I guess he's going to excuse it away with "Best for wizarding sake," sigh.

Despite Snape usually keeping a level head in strife, I was glad to see him loose it with the potion phials.

"You won't have to worry about another occurrence like this year's where Harry and his cohorts sent Gryffindor into negative numbers, but I still think Slytherin will win," Severus enjoyed riling up Minerva over house rivalry." Aww, I sort of smirked at that, yes, Harry will be too sick to get into his normal yearly trouble, but even if he's well, I'm sure that Severus will be keeping a tight reign on his son. He won't be able to continuely risk his life. Aww, it was sad to see that Harry automatically assumed that he had made Severus angry. I LOVED how Severus quickly informed him otherwise, in fact this is my favorite line from this chapter,: "Merlin no, child," Severus said, his voice softening as he moved from the chair to Harry's side. Harry let out the breath he had been holding as Severus wrapped an arm around him and pulled him into his side. "You're never going back there. You hear me?"" That was sooo touching, I bet that Severus will be thinking up nasty but just desserts for those miserable excuses for human beings, of course to be carried out when Harry feels better.

Aww, Severus PRINCE sounds like he would look very handsome. I bet that pale blue shirt looks smashing on him, thanks for going with that instead of the (pretty but overused) Green. I admit I did lol at the fact that the Prince Signet is a unicorn, when I first read it, I pictured a unicorn a-la "My Little Pony" variety.

""Of course," she nodded. "Are you coming to the Order meeting tonight?"

"I haven't decided yet. I'm sure I could get Poppy or Mrs. Weasley to stay with Harry while I attend the meeting, but it'll depend on how he's feeling," Severus pinched the bridge of his nose. He really needed to brew a fresh batch of his strongest headache potion. " Hmm, I wonder if this is how Severus is going to realize something's amiss. I know that he is smart enough to realize that Ron told his Mom, but if he asks Molly to "babysit" Harry due to his cancer/chemo, and she thinks he is perfectly fine....yeah something is going to happen....Great job...

    Time for questions:

-Remember when Harry's scar bled a few chapters back, why was that? I don't remember ever reading a reason why.

    - Is Harry going to have blood transfusions/platlets? If my memory and information serve me correctly, then he would.

I hope that you update very soon. I really hope that the next chapter covers WCS AND the ORDER meeting (I'm excited for that chapter, girlie). Great job as usual.

    Author's Response:

You can totally have a bag full of pecans. Have fun cracking them!

All I'll say is that Dumbledore has his reasons, and it's not quite as it seems...

Yes, Severus needed to lose it for a moment. He can't always keep everything bottled up.

I don't even think Sev has thought about retribution concerning the Dursleys. He's too busy with Harry at the moment.

I thought green wouldn't be weird enough of a color for Sev. LOL a unicorn a-la "My Little Pony." I can assure you the unicorn isn't as pretty as that.

I didn't ever gave a reason why, which reminds me that I should, so thanks!

Yes, Harry will have blood transfusions/platelets. However, it's kinda counterproductive to give him blood products at the same time of being infused with chemo since the chemo will work to kill off all the good cells that the blood products give him, unless his levels gets really low.
