    Mmm....Now "I" want cookies!!

Aw, that was so sweet. Severus is becoming a really good, caring dad. Harry deserves to have someone take care of him so well.

I'm really anxious to see what happens at the meeting though. Will Snape reveal that he is Harry's father now? I hope so; I can't wait to see Dumbledore's face. :)

Great chappie as usual Ella. Looking forward to the next one. ;)

    Author's Response:

*Sends Pandora a handful of chocolate chip cookies*

Sev really is growing into his role fast. I think somewhere in his subconscious his body remembers being a parent and so his instincts were there just waiting to be reactivated.

He'll reveal that he's Harry's father to Dumbledore, but not to anyone else yet. He knows he should tell Harry first, but Dumbledore will press him until he has no choice but to let Dumbledore know he knows. Thanks!

Great job as usual! LOL-I'm not looking foward to next week at Kohl's either, we open at 4 AM (not that I have to be at that time), what time does Old Navy open? And yeah, we're all set up and have been for a couple months now, for Christmas (you asked this last time). Yummy, cookies! Ok on to the review, Thanks for telling why his scar bled, I thought it was something on those lines, but wasn't sure. I loved how Severus kept calling Harry (to himself) "son," and "child" it was all so sweet. Boy, I wouldn't want to be Dumby by the time Snape gets ahold of him...heck when MOLLY gets ahold of him. I liked that Severus was willing to "play" the adult, even in his own way with Molly. This chapter was so good that I didn't really mind the Order meeting not being in this chapter...it will be in the next one, right? :-P Anyways, great chapter and it gave me something to smile about (I have this major cold or something, feel sick as a dog (yeah, I know, I shouldn't complain, many, many people have it worse) and sound like Minnie Mouse when I attempt to speak...it was great "fun" being a cashier today). I hope that the next chapter is out soon but I definately understand it may not be because of Black Friday...*shudders*

""You need to trust that this is what's best for him," Severus sighed. He didn't have time for this nor should he have to reassure someone else about his child. If anything, people should be reassuring him that he was doing the right thing for Harry. " Aww, that's one of the sad things about being a "secret parent." I wish he had someone to comfort him. Reminds me of a family favorite song, "He's My Son," by Mark Shultz, that's what I first thought of about some of the chapters here...it's a great song, go listen to it, it's on Youtube.

    Author's Response:

We open at 3. Blah. I was hoping for midnight so I could pull a midnight to 8am shift and all would be good with the world since I'm a night owl. lol. I have to work at 4 to noon, and I'm still debating if I'll go to sleep that night or just wait until I get home. We still aren't completely ready for Christmas. We're doing some moves in the store early in the week, which I'm excited about because we got all of our womens flannel pj pants in. They're like one of my favorite things ever from ON, and we only get them at Christmas time so I've been waiting. lol.

Yes, cookies and I didn't bake them myself so I can guarantee they're edible. lol.

I put that part in there about his scar just for you. I finally remembered to include it in thinking the whole time that you'd be happy that I remembered. Yes, the Order meeting will certainly be in the next chapter and Sev will get a chance to lose his temper. Sev is really stepping up to the plate when it comes to Harry.

Someone else suggested that song and I looked up the lyrics to it. I agree it fits this story. Maybe after he tells Harry he'll remember he needs to inform his parents they have a grandchild and he'll find some comfort there.

I hope you feel better soon and survive Black Friday!

I love this story so much. I don't know if you've ever heard of a song called "He's my Son" by Mark Schultz but it so fits this story. If you haven't, look it up on YouTube and give it a listen. Keep up the good work.

Author's Response: Thanks! I haven't heard of that song, but I looked up the lyrics and I agree it fits the story.

Looks like Molly is handling it well.
Albus needs a swift kick in the rear.
Has he even SEEN Harry recently?
Has he bothered to REALLY look at the child?

Author's Response: Want to volunteer to give Albus that swift kick in his rear? He hasn't seen Harry recently and I bet he'd be really surprised if he did. Thanks!

Awesome chapter. I'm glad that Molly got mad at Dumbledore, I'm sure she'll do a fine job of watching Harry. Thanks for updating! I can't wait to read the next chapter.

Author's Response: I'm sure she'll do fine, too. She's just a little apprehensive which is normal after seeing how different and ill Harry appears. I'm not sure when I'll get the next chapter written, but my fest fic turned into a one-shot from the AIE universe that shows a forgotten moment from when Harry was a baby, which I hope you'll enjoy. Thanks!

beautiful writing and wonderful tale. So real in a fantastic world.

Author's Response: Hearing that it reads real is one of the best comments I can receive because that's a goal of mine with this story. It also just makes me smile when beautiful, wonderful, and fantastic is used to describe my writing. *smiles* I needed that heading into retail hell week. Thank you!

Great, great chapter. Didn't know I was two behind!! Sticking Molly to a chair, classic Severus. I love that Severus is using the terms, my son, my child, when think of Harry now, it's so touching. He is so gentle with Harry now - no wonder Harry would rather stay with him that go to the Barrow. Poor Molly, I sure don't want to be Dumbly when they get together again. Can't wait to see the chapter for the meeting. I can Severus in FULL SNAPE mode! Again, thank you for such a great chapter!

Author's Response: I'm sure Severus will be in full Snape mode next chapter. His temper is just waiting for an opportunity to snap. He is certainly being gentle with Harry which is what he needs right now. I don't think Harry could handle being around a lot of people at the moment and Severus' quarters have provided a safe quiet hideaway for him while he receives treatment. Thanks!

NO FAIR and I thought you were my friend!!!! I wanted to see Molly really go off! Great chapter. Good to see that Harry is feeling better (somewhat) and that Severus is taking to fatherhood (so far) so well. We actually have two cliffees here, Molly and her reaction the the cancer news, and Harry and his reaction to having a father! Will these events be in one "blow up" chapter or two??? Excellent chapter as always! Well worth the wait.

Author's Response: When I first read this review I was like is this supposed to be from the previous chapter because it sounds like nothing from this chapter. lol. I was so glad to see I had assumed right when I saw your next review. That chapter was a little reprieve for Harry as far as how he was feeling went. He needed a bit of a break, and Sev needed a chance to catch some z's himself. Thanks!

Brilliant chapter can't wait for the order meeting

Author's Response: Thanks! I'm anxious to see how the Order meeting will turn out myself.

I just HAD to laugh at Sev sticking Molly to the chair! and instead of getting louder he was the adult and calmed down! I'm so PROUD of him.

I feel like a bit of a broken record, but . . . Poor Harry! He just can't catch a break can he? Even Molly is trying to take him away from his "safe place."

Do we get to see a "real fight" at the order meeting?

Have fun on Black Friday--I used to work retail when I was still in school--now I just try to avoid any shopping areas at that time of year.

    V.

    Author's Response:

I'm proud of him, too. I thought he was going to lose it when I went into writing the chapter, but as you saw he had other ideas. Molly knows how Severus can be towards students so it would be unrealistic if she didn't make sure Harry was okay with Severus, though I don't doubt it won't be the last time Harry has to answer those questions.

I don't know about a "real fight" as in throwing punches, but the Order meeting will be very tense and I'm sure Severus will have much to say. Maybe our drunk friend, Remus, will even throw in a punch though it might have nothing to do with the current predicament. lol. Writing Remus as drunk was really just a sudden decision when I was writing it and now I'm happy that popped up in my mind because I get to have a little fun and play with that.

Ugh, I don't think fun will cover Black Friday though I get to work what essentially is opening which is good though I do have to close the following day. I swear closing that weekend is torture. I had to close last year on Black Friday and the following Saturday and Sunday. Black Friday I was stuck at the mens denim walls for like six hours and it was pure torture having to refold hundreds of pair of jeans and try to get the walls looking somewhat presentable.
