Reviews For Alea Iacta Est
Author's Response: Thanks!
Go Severus, go! While I'm glad Ron snapped Harry out of a funk for a moment, I'm also angry with Ron. Way to go Weasley!! But then, it would be pretty scary to see your best friend like that...but Severus came! XD How wonderful! And then he read LOTR!! I would KILL to have Alan Rickman read that to me...I mean Snape...XD Ten hundred thousand points to you for this chappie!! Wonderful chapter!! Author's Response: Yay! I'm glad you got that melting feeling! Say it again. Awww. ;) Severus would be so awesome reading LOTR, especially considering you know he knows how to pronounce everything correctly. Don't be so angry with Ron. He was scared, and I'm sure he's paying for his actions. Ten hundred thousand points? Really? Awesome! Thanks!
Author's Response: I couldn't picture Ron reacting any other way. It would've probably been better if Molly was there pinching his arm each time he said something stupid. It was a disappointment for Harry, but it provided the turning point for his relationship with his father that'll last longer than a few stupid words from Ron. Sev had to have some way to tell the twins apart to make sure they didn't cheat and say they were the other one. ;) Thanks!
Author's Response: My vacation was a nice break even though I ended up driving more than I have in years. lol. I drove 1,000 miles in a week! Needless to say, I'm so glad my job is less than 10 minutes away after that. I'm happy to hear you loved that scene on the sofa. It wasn't really planned. It just happened. Thanks!
That's sooo RON! Only Ron could go there and ask something like that! Good thing Harry has Severus! Author's Response: Yes, it was totally Ron. He needs to get a better mental filter, and hopefully that'll come as he gets older. Until then he'll be at Molly's mercy. lol. Thanks!
Anyways, I'm glad Severus was in control of the situation and kept the confrontation from becoming a full blown catastrophe Author's Response: Ron is thick, but this was more a case of fear than his usual thick headedness. Sev knew this was a possibility and that's why he kept a close watch on them. Thanks!
Author's Response: Thanks! For Ron to be Ron, he couldn't have really acted any other way. He let his fear take over, which is understandable.
Author's Response: Thanks! Ron was scared. He thought he'd be okay, but you're right. Severus tried to prepare him, but forgot to mention how different Harry looks. Then again, Sev probably forgot since he sees Harry all the time and so the change isn't that startling to him. It is horrible that they haven't found anything better to treat cancer, but at least for now chemo gives people like you your life back. I'm sure the topic of if LOTR is Muggle or magical will come up. We'll have to wait and see if it is or not.
Author's Response: We got a hint of it in the next chapter. Sometimes it's best to leave a little for your imagination. ;) I'm not sure if I'll include the scene or not in the following chapter, but we'll definitely hear about it. I'm sure it hurt Severus, but he's quite used to those kinds of comments, and I'm not sure Harry even heard it. He kinda shut down at the end there. I think it'll be a while before Harry calls Severus, dad though his condition may speed the process up. I'll give you this hint about Sev's dad. I see you live in US by your ff.net profile, so I'm almost certain you've seen and said hello to someone who does the same job as Sev's dad....
if Voldie has Harry's blood, could he also contract Harry's cancer? Author's Response: I suppose it's possible, but that's not the path this story is taking. Nope, it'll take more than cancer to kill Voldemort. Thanks! |
