Reviews For Alea Iacta Est
The next one is obviously going to be super-angsty, but I look forward to it!
Poor Harry is so stressed right now! That can't be good for him health-wise. And of course, with his friends waiting behind the next door, the stress is only going to mount. Hopefully Hermione has done her usual research and chastised... Um, I mean warned the others on what to do and not to do. I really wanted to reach through the monitor and slap Remus upside the head. I know he cares for Harry and is concerned over the trustworthiness of Severus but he really has an addlepated way of showing it, doesn't he? As always, I'm eagerly looking forward to the next update. Great job building the tension in this one. I especially enjoyed the image of Severus and his "overstuffed" bag of supplies. Much like a diaper bag (but don't tell Harry I said that). And of course the interactions between Snape and Minerva are always a treat.
thanks for the update! V.
I'm really loving it thus far!
Do you know how long I (many of us) have been waiting?!?! Of course you do. But school sucks. Right? I heart this chapter. I think I felt worse for Harry after he shaved his head, rather than before. Just the way he didn't want to look in the mirror and didn't want Snape to look at his head. It was a very solemn moment and you portrayed it very well. And I never even considered before what the sensation of having a bald head must feel like. The only technical thing I noticed was this, from Snape: "No, but there's hats in your wardrobe." That was dialogue, so I don't know if that was intentional or not. But hats being plural, shouldn't that be *there are* instead? Disregard if I'm wrong, but that caught my eye. I'm so glad you updated. Like, fo' real. :-)
