Reviews For Alea Iacta Est
Love this story. You write so beautifully and with sensitivity. I can't believe that Snape shooed the Gryffies out for Harry's sake. Too cute. I don't think that Hermione is going to leave well enough alone though. Can't wait for more. Author's Response: I meant a cookie that Snape baked, but you can have one shaped like Snape if you rather. ;) Hermione probably won't leave well enough alone, but she'll have to get through Sev and we know how difficult that is. Thanks so much for the writing comments. They put a smile on my face this morning when i read it.
Great chapter, I like the chase the friends away scene it let Snape show he cared in a Snapish way. Looking forward to the next chapter. Post soon Author's Response: Thanks. I liked the chase away the friends scene, too. Hermione and Ron need to learn they can't talk their way into everything.
Author's Response: LoL. Good point. Assume it's actually a cookie not laced with poison or some potion. I was going to offer cookies made by me, but those have more chance of being inedible than Sev's cookies.
Author's Response: I hope you meant unusual in a good way. ;) One of my pet peeves in fanfic is that when someone is ill or hurt, the author writes like all the characters crowding around the bedside of the affected person when that would be so overwhelming and at times very unwelcome to the affected person. It's always nice to hear someone finds my story amazing. *smiles* Thanks!
I loved the Voldemort analogy. Very creative! Too bad it's so late. I'd like to keep reading, but one must sleep at some point. ;-) Awesome job! Author's Response: Yes, sleep is very important. I'm glad you're getting into it. I promise it's not just a plot device, there's a reason behind it. :P I just added another chapter, so there's one more waiting for you in the morning. Thanks again!
I loved this part here: --- "Severus," McGonagall chided. "What if I didn't have his test graded yet?" "I saw it sitting on your desk," Severus answered. --- That made me laugh out loud. ;-) And I am not sure why, but for some reason I like the idea of Snape knowing how and being the one to take Harry's blood. But... Leukemia? Oh. Crud. Next chapter... Author's Response: I love that you're loving certain parts and letting me know what they are. It helps me to know what I'm doing right or if you think that the same parts are cool that I do. I like Snape knowing how to take blood, too. He's super intelligent, and I can see him as a Renaissance man of sorts, interested in many subjects and because of his intellect pursuing them. I'm also glad you got to laugh before you go to the end. It might be the last time for a few chapters.
That was a really cool thing, coming up with how to predict a wizard's magical power. I could soooo relate to Harry when he was searching for his glasses, and panicking. I've been wearing glasses since I was 5 and feel lost without 'em. When I "misplace" them in the morning if I am staying over someplace new, I always freak out in that quick moment before I locate 'em. ;-) Oh, and I just wanted to cry when Harry's wand didn't work for him towards the end there. Seriously. That was heartbreaking. Great job! Author's Response: Thanks for the lengthy review. I'm glad you can relate to Harry. I don't wear glasses myself, but I can imagine how freaked out I'd be if I couldn't see when I woke up in the morning. I was hoping that Harry's wand not working for him would be heartbreaking to you guys, the readers.
Anyhow, good job and I'll keep reading. :D Author's Response: I touched on it, but haven't gone into detail yet. Thanks for reminding me to include that soon. The details aren't that important to the storyline, but I'll be sure to address it. Thanks for reviewing, and I hope you enjoy the rest.
Author's Response: Thank you. The next chapter should be up in the next few days. I'm writing it right now and how much I get written depends on how cooperative my puppy is tonight.
Update soon Author's Response: Thanks. Their relationship is one of my main storylines in the story, so I'm glad you're liking that aspect. |
