Reviews For Alea Iacta Est
Yes I'm somewhat of a night owl, I'm in the US I'm on the west coast where it's almost always cold and cloudy. I can't get over the fact that Harry has lukemia, T_T wow. Still in love with your story, hope you can update soon, because that's a grade A, E-V-I-L place to end, lol! =P Author's Response: The next chapter will answer some of your questions. It should be up soon within a day or two. I'm working on it right now. Well, it's break time. Ugh I'll take your cold and cloudy if you want hot weather. I live in the South where it hasn't been below like 85 for months now. And it's not just the heat, we have horrible, horrible humidity. I hate needles, too. The first time I ever got blood taken I was 17 to check for mono. The nurse commented on my small veins and I like freaked, even more than I already was, thinking that like it was going to hurt more and be hard for her to hit my vein. Turns out, it meant she got to use a smaller needle. I still almost worked myself into passing out, I was lightheaded, over two or three tiny vials of blood. And she was so good I barely felt a pinch. That was with my mom there holding my hand so, Harry did way better than I did.
"Hello, Harry," his Head of House greeted. It's 'greeted him', never, ever 'greeted' alone. The word requires an object. Otherwise, very good.
Poor professor, though I can't help being glad he is free from his grim duty of spying. His unusuall softness is a bit confusing, but the story looks promissing. Run off to read the rest.
Oh you have to update quickly please. You cannot leave us hanging like this. Please tell me that Harry is not going ot die!!! I really like how you had Snape hold Harry's hand. Too cute. Author's Response: The update is coming soon. It's about 1/2 to 2/3s of the way written, and I hope to finish it tonight with an expected posting date of tomorrow night or Friday. Yes, even Severus can be sympathetic. =)
Author's Response: Unfortunately, yes, but Harry's one tough cookie.
Author's Response: You'll see, but I promise there won't be a magic potion that just makes everything okay. It'll be a hard and long road.
Also I loved this line: "Merlin, they should admit him to St. Mungo's psych ward now. He never lied to make someone feel better." It made me feel sad that he had to lie to make Harry feel better, but then also it was funny that he said he was going nutters lol. Can't wait for your next chapter =) Keep up the great work! Author's Response: Thanks. Either you're a night owl like me or from some other part of the world that's not the Americas. I'm glad you're enjoying the story and finding lines that are particularly memorable. Yes, there were a lot of different emotions swirling around at the end, and it doesn't stop in the next chapter which should be posted sometime tomorrow evening/night. I've already combed through it once with revisions and edits, and I'll look at it again once I get home from work tomorrow before posting it.
I hope that Snape can figure it out. First he goes from being a really powerful wizard, to becoming a virtual squib. Yikes, update soon please. Author's Response: It's coming, soon. I believe I just finished writing chapter four. My friend should be getting back to me to let me know if where I finished is too evil of a chapter break or not. Since it's still early, I'll probably start revising and editing it tonight with the notion that it'll be ready to post sometime tomorrow evening/night. Oh, and a hint to send you thinking until then, think outside the box. =) |
