Why is there a massive blank space at the bottom. Is it meant to be there or is my computer acting up?
Ah, now what's up with that book? Somehow I think it's trouble. And I wonder what the Headmaster has to say that's so important?

Great chapter! I wonder if Harry will really get into Slytherin? And who was the boy? Thanks for the update! I can't wait for the next one.
Author's Response: Harry's wanting to get into Slytheirn might make him end up there. The hat does take the person's preferance into account. The boy is featured more in the next chapter. You've got an interesting premise, but you're failing at consistency, both in timelines and characterizations, repeatedly. Severus and Bellatrix have been sharing living space and Harry for almost a decade, not just over five years. Bella found out about Muggle techniques the morning Harry is taken to Andromeda's clinic the first and only time and spends that day in a waiting room or Andromeda's house while Severus is always at Harry's side, yet they get married that afternoon with an appointment and scheduled witnesses and robes, etc. And if Professor Black has been teaching at Hogwarts for ten years, she'd not need reminding of Muggleborn students. Plus - there was no DADA professor two months into the school year when she arrived? Please take a few minutes to draw a timeline and fully think through the impression those years had on the characters. It really won't take much to move this from good idea to good story.
Author's Response: Thanks for your suggestoins and the things you pointed out. There are answers to most of this and I have a basic timeline, I'm trying not to rush the story and include everything at once. I skipped time on purpose. I am going to explain more in later chapters. Thanks you for your review and for the points you've made.

I thought that Harry was going to ask more questions when Olivander seemed to know everyone.

Author's Response: Glad you liked the chapter. I was worried that it wasn't very intersting. Harry's been trained to save his questions for a more secure location. Asking anything in public could have revealed his true identity and none of the family wants that. Thanks for your review!
