Reviews For Just a father
Author's Response: Ivy-green, Hehe, I enjoy your reviews, they make me smile. Harry believes he has someone to talk to, but it's still a bit hard for them both at this point. Snape is unlikely to talk about his past this early on, but I'm certain that he will at some point. Thanks. -Mel :)
Author's Response: ObsessiveaboutSnape, Thanks. It is rather sweet indeed. -Mel :)
Nice chapter! Author's Response: Mithrilandtj, Perhaps that's what he's afriad of lol. Thank-you! -Mel :)
Loved the fatherly taking him to the hospital wing bit. Again, he's trying...They're both kind of trying...They'll learn...I'm sure they will. Author's Response: Raven knight, I wasn't so sure if I should keep that part or not and I got stuck with how to proceed at one point, but overall I liked it and I'm glad it wasn't a mistake to keep it in there. Snape is doing most of the trying at the moment but in a way yes, they're both putting in effort. They will learn, and some major lessons are coming up! Thanks. -Mel :)
-P.G. Author's Response: P.G, Indeed he does! Yeah, he will...perhaps sooner rather than later. I'm pleased to hear that!! Thanks. -Mel :)
Author's Response: Crystal cove, Thanks, glad to hear it. Will update asap. -Mel :)
I hope Snape figures out how to express himself. Harry is clearly starved for attention and needs a bit of coddling in his life. At the end I was hoping Sev would call Harry back and give him a hug or some form of physical contact, but hopefully next chapter. You're doing a great job developing their relationship. Not too fast, but not drawn out either. I'm looking forward to the next chapter. ~Ella Author's Response: Ella, Thanks for the review!! Was the entire chapter a bit rushed or just some parts in particular? Snape is trying to figure numerous things out, poor man but he will get the hang of some things soon for he is starting to see just how much Harry does need it. Physical contact is still in the "avoid at all costs" zone for Snape at the moment, so hugging is out of the question unless he's in a comfortable enough situation or sees that Harry really needs it, hang tight...won't be too long for some proper contact. Thank-you for all your comments! Glad to hear it, will update soon. -Mel :)
I love the way you're slowly developing Snape and Harry's relationship. You're capturing their insecurities and fears beautifully. Though I have to say (rather selfishly) that I wish they'd hurry up. I was really hopeing to see a hug after Harry told Snape about his nightmare. On the other hand I'm glad you didn't have them getting all mushy yet because that would ruin your story. Thanks for a wonderful story! Please update soon. Author's Response: Daughterofares, I almost fell out of my chair when I saw that I'd received a review from you!! For it was you that inspired me to join this site. Anyway, I'm glad to hear that you like how I've done things and your comments certainly brought a smile to my face! I wanted to squeeze a hug in there but not yet, I have that planned and it's not quite the right time for that sort of action yet. I do not intend to have them get all "mushy" yet or too unrealistically later either, I agree...I prefer this proper flow of things although I have been tempted at times! You're welcome and thanks for your review! I will update again soon, perhaps tomorrow. Oh and you're my 100th reviewer for this story!! Woo-hoo. Thanks. -Mel :D
I'm impressed at how hard Severus is trying to be a father to Harry; going so far as to ask that prefect"s advice. Very sweet. I've got the warm fuzzies now. I'm dying for another chappie. Author's Response: Pandora, Yay, I'm glad to hear that. And yeah, it is sweet. Snape is determined not to let Harry down although he's not entirely sure why just yet. Ha, and as if he would ever admit to asking for advice, but yes he did, hehe. We know better. Thanks. I'm pleased to hear that and I will update again probably tomorrow. I do believe that you will like the next chapter. -Mel :)
