Reviews For Just a father
"Actually he felt as though it was all embarrassing, but for once in a very long time; he didn't care about his pride." You showed everything very realistically. Good for Snape he remembered about boundaries - I was so afraid he will become doting parent, he is unexperienced after all, and Harry is so lost... Yay for chapter, it's perfect Christmass chapter! Author's Response: Wyrsa, I really loved your review and comments, thanks. Christmas always has such potential for some great moments and heartwarming incidences. And yes, Snape is very inexperienced while harry is lost. This causes complications and only time and contanst devotion will get them over this. -Mel :)
Author's Response: JAWorley, Exactly. Thanks for the review. -Mel :)
Author's Response: Gowvan, I agree, and don't worry...he won't misunderstand what Harry is going through forever. They do deserve better and they will get there eventually, with constant progress and devotion. -Mel :)
Author's Response: Dramagirl007, Yes it was, as I intended. Yes they are certainly due for long talk! Thanks for the review and am updating soon. -Mel :)
Author's Response: Fairner, Yeah. And it will be, Snape is determined not to let this go so easily. They'll get there ;). -Mel :)
Author's Response: Starbuck1332, Thanks, glad you liked it. -Mel :)
I thought the emotional tones were set very well, so good job! Looking forward to more! Author's Response: Victory-Starr, Thanks. True, Snape has to sort through his thoughts and the clues like a normal person, no matter how smart he may be. Glad you like it and will update again soon. -Mel :)
Author's Response: Ivy-Green, It was meant to be :(. Haha, sign of good writing is when a reason starts yelling at their screen. I'm thrilled to hear that you liked it and that the emotion was set just as I hoped it would be. Aw, *hugs* thanks for reading and sending me a review. Will update really soon. -Mel :)
I really like this soty and the way you develope the plot. I like the slow and awkward bonding - it's really touching and sweet, especially Severus' feelings on this (sorry, Sev, but yes, you are a true softy at heart, I always believed firmly in that, you did love Lily to the point of obsession - that's quite the deep emotion I would say... ;-)). Keep up the good story - I really look forward to your updates!!!! Author's Response: Pellegrina, He was close, normally he might have thrown Harry out but he was in denial and didn't want to let go so easily. I'm thrilled to hear that you really like this fic and the plot. I wanted it to have a more realistic touch with taking it slowly etc. And yes I believe you too, Snape is a softy deep down with quite deep emotion but is lacking the useage. But if it's been building up than it has to come out someway, right? :P Thanks and I will be updating soon! -Mel :)
I just hope that Snape has truly realised what the problem is, and will talk to Harry before it's too late. Beautiful, strong emotion-filled chapter. Great work. Author's Response: Pandora, Yeah, it is but hopefully that won't last forever. Snape is learning but hasn't entirely figured it all out yet. But they will be having a long talk, indeed. Glad you liked it and thanks for the review. -Mel :) |
