But I'm beginning to get seriously creeped out now - I know that I really don't want to know what Umbridge has done and why, but there's some part of me that has a morbidly fascinated desire to find out - it's like in a horror movie - when you know there's something horrible behind the door, but you're still desperate to open it and see it for yourself ... This story is very clever. I like it a lot! Plus, I like the points idea! My assumption this time is that the 'weeping words' on Harry's back have some connection to occlumency, which implies that Umbridge has been trying to glean information off Harry - or that she's maybe trying to impress her own beliefs on him through that medium ... too extravagant? :D Thank you so much for updating! Author's Response: Oh good, at least if I’m going to make you wait I’m doing it in an impressive kinda way ^^ (bet that doesn’t help all that much though huh) – and you’re right, it didn’t seem the kind of chapter that could end with ‘and then he went to sleep and everything sucked a bit’ (not that many chapters should end like that... of anything ^^) aww thank you so much! I'm surprised Harry hasn't died of blood loss yet. When is Snape gonna get off his bat arse and DO SOMETHING!!! Author's Response: Haha, yep she is that huh ^^ Oh, a quick death would be merciful when Snape finds out (even when McGonagall finds out... no one will be impressed believe me... not that I think Umbridge is doing what she’s doing to impress them ^^) NO, not blood loss... though he can’t have a whole heap left I suppose (*checks on him as he hides in my wardrobe*... nope, he’s fine for another two chapters ^^) Hehehe, oh, Snape has a bat ass (*acts incredibly immature... imagine that! ^^*) – don’t worry, he’s getting there, he just likes taking his sweet time ^-^ - I think you’ll like the next few chapters though ^^ look out for the updates and have fun ^^

*whips out wand and turns Umbridge into glass before blasting her glass-self into a million little pieces* There, I feel a little bit better. Ugh! I hate her! I was wondering by the end if you were going to reveal what happened in Umbridge's detention, but I didn't think it would be that horrible. I assume it was either a blood quill charmed to work on his back, or Umbridge made the marks herself. *shudders* I do have to wonder how Severus didn't notice Harry was bleeding. I get that with his robes it wouldn't be that noticeable, but as a Potions Master his sense of smell would likely be stronger than most people's and blood does have a distinct smell. Perhaps the evil toad (I guess that word will work to keep my review G rated lol) spelled it so no one would notice and couldn't see or smell the wounds? That would be horrible, but I could just see your Umbridge doing that. But then how would Harry ever get help? Maybe if he told someone like Snape, they'd be able to remove the spell? Oh, also are the blood quill scars in your story going to be unhealable, as in no potion or spell can heal the scars? If so and that's how Harry got the new wounds on his back that would be horrible for him to have to live with that on his back for the rest of his life. In regards to Sev, I think he was rather perfect in this chapter besides what I mentioned above. He's secretly trying to protect Harry, but he can't really do anything unless Harry tells him what's going on. He's in his own way caring for Harry without showing Harry that he is, which is right for this stage of your story. I can't wait until there's some Harry and Sev bonding/comforting but I know there's a time for it and apparently Harry hasn't said it's that time yet. Great chapter and now I really can't wait for the next one! Author's Response: *wraps you in a woolly black jumper* don’t worry, it wont be poor Harry for too much longer. (I mean, it will in general I’m sure because fanfic authors like to be mean to him... *whispers so the Harry in my wardrobe doesn’t hear* he does tend to make an interesting torture – but in this fic it wont be for much longer so don’t worry ^^ lots of Sevvy hugs to come ^^) Ooh, nice aim... unfortunately I think shattered-glass-Umbridge cut Harry up a little (she just doesn’t know when to stop does she *sets Snape on her* get her, get her!) glad it made you feel better though... maybe I should hand out glass Umbridge’s for people to explode? Blood smells. *adds that to list of things I seem to have buggered up* ... but then Snape does try to stay as far from Harry as he can and is trying his best not to notice what he already has... if that makes sense (I think I’m channelling your Snape from the beginning of AIE... by the by, I don’t suppose you know already how much I suck at drawing right... because as much as I love that sandcastle scene... ^^) Lol, don’t worry about your review rating, you can call the toad anything you like and it wont count ‘cos it’s factual ^^ I can imagine her spelling the wounds so they wouldn’t smell and leaving the rest to Harry but beyond that... she’s not the smartest (or the most helpful... who would’ve thought?... oh, hey, what do you think’s worse, your Harry’s cancer or my Umbridge? (I suppose yours wins because with mine we get to look forward to some revenge at the end of it... yours is a little more insidious (and spell resistant ^^) and I absolutely love reading what sounds like your thinking out loud (so to speak ^^) – your one of those reviewers that give me the best ideas ^^ *throws points and muffins to you* thank you!!! I think your Snape is amazing, and that scene with him was pretty darn brilliant, and I could not have imagined it done better.
