Reviews For Antonomasia
Enjoying the story and dying to find out what happens next, you certainly know how to tell a story- kudos :) Author's Response: Hehe, and points will of course go to Slytherin for being so fantastic as to remind me to update ^^ Thanks!!! And whips... kinky ^-^ *gives you life saving muffins to ensure you don’t really die* - thank you, hope the update makes up for the wait ^-^ *holds breath and waits for whip crack* ^^
Or, you know, a billion points to *you* for being awesome and writing this. Eagerly awaiting an update! :) Author's Response: Oh *blushes... and grins madly* thank you!!! That’s such a wonderful thing to hear!!! And that you like my flashbacks is one of the biggest compliments ever! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! And I totally agree, Snape was so completely in the wrong profession and needed a career change so I gave him one ^^ and I’d give Dobby points but I don’t know if that would count as clothes...? (a billion points to you instead? ^^) (oooh, if they go to me maybe I can just say Ravenclaw wins my tally... hmm... possibly cheating though >.< ... ^^) Thanks!!!
Author's Response: Oh thank you! I’m so glad you’re liking it and that you really get the psychology behind Harry in this (or what I’m going for with it anyway ^^) – and Umbridge was nothing if not inventive, I always thought she wasn’t given enough room to move as a character so I thought I’d be nice and give her a chance... how wrong I was *shakes head woefully* ^^ - hope you like the update... soon ^^ and Thanks!!!
Author's Response: Thank you! Work is bad but lovely reviews are wonderful (and a much better use of time ^-^) Awwww moments are on their way (and sorry for getting you all caught up and following up with no updates, how horrible of me... there’s one on the way if it helps at all?) Oh, and all you points are of course going towards a Slytherinny victory ^-^ Thanks!
Right, I shivered too.)) My, I can't choose my favourite line, even multiple lines... For me the most favourite part of this chapter is the supreme quality of writing, the clear, gentle and intense emotion filling every inch of text. The scene with Lily, the exalted feeling of freedom in Snape - that was huge sigh of relief when he escaped, great he IS free now... almost - and the abrupt inverting of this feeling in deepest anxiety. Your Snape may not be strictly canonical, but I LOVE the way you wright him. It's facinating. By the by you made me dead curious, how did OldVold get to be so sure of Snape's betrayal? Well, I'm still a bit overwhelmed with emotions.))) You've done very, very well, the best muffins ever baked on this Earth all for you, you've made me the happiest reader today! Thank you! Author's Response: Oh, thank you! *covers you in Sev’s warm cloak* sorry about the shivers ^^ Hehe, no, you couldn’t say my Sev was canonical so much anymore but I like to think that given these circumstances the Snape of the books would be altered just the slightest bit (and perhaps not as much as he is in this but then I did promise comfort and cuddling didn’t I... ^^) – thank you so, SO much; I can’t say how reassuring it is to know that you like where this appears to be going – when writing for enjoyment it’s fantastic to know that its enjoyed, you know? ^^ And in my head Voldy knew about Snape because he was tipped off by someone sneaky and evil and malicious (and I like to think petty because, for some reason in my head it’s wormtail... though it might not always be so, but I do think it would suit the little sh- sneak (^-^) to have been the one to get Snape in trouble, even if only to rise in the ranks himself) – I might explore it more later but feel free to use your imagination too ^-^ Oh! Sorry to overwhelm you, even if its a good overwhelmyness *shares best muffins ever with you* (muffins are, of course, much better when shared with a friend ^^) – thank you heaps and heaps and heaps, hope the next update is as good as the muffins ^^
Well, my guess about guest almost struck home... *low squeel* I did remember the potion from first chapters, especially when you used the word "squirmed". Ewwww. What a dratted vile thing from equally poisonous creature! I hate her! And I almost wailed aloud for Harry to PLEASE not go to that witch... dear me, there is not very much left of him already. Enjoyed Snape's professional maner. He really is the person to help pupils in trouble. Invaluable in his place. Guess the crisis of some sort will take place in next chapter. Happy to have it on already! Thanks for wonderfull work! Author's Response: Yay! I’m glad you were so excited! ^^ *jumps up and down around room too* isn’t it fun? ^^ No, not much left of Harry at all by now and good for you; remembering the potion (and my wording... ‘squirm’... hehe, brings to mind such disgusting mental images doesn’t it? ^^) is going to make the story that much better for you in the next few chapters cos you’ll know why Harry does some of the things he will... hehe... squirm... I do so like that word... ^^ Thank you!!! More caring Sev on the way too (hope you don’t mind that some of the professionalism goes out the window when faced with Harry’s... well, with Harry ^^)
Author's Response: Haha, ahh, you’ve discovered my ‘5 points for every review’ policy somehow haven’t you? Or do you... kinda... maybe... possibly... want an update? Hmm, I’ll take a few months to ponder it... *holds up hands in surrender* joking, joking! Matter of days, promise... if you’re still interested that is...? and where are you points going btw?
"He unfroze a little inside when he detected very faint movement – Harry was breathing – but it was shallow and slow and, placing an icy hand over Harry’s forehead Severus failed to understand how it could possibly feel colder than the snow around them." I thought it was sweet and so.. everything I want in Snape!!! Poor, poor, Harry. Update soooooon please! Author's Response: Aww thank you! Sweet Sev and Hopeless (but Helpable) Harry coming up ^-^ and have some muffins and fifteen points too ^-^ Have fun!
***Unlike the night before, Harry found he was suddenly hyperaware of everything for a brief moment and felt filled with dread and fear and a childlike anxiety that gripped his stomach in a tight fist before leaving him feeling completely empty. He felt more numb than ever and he didn’t think he was really thinking straight as he watched with a vague kind of attentiveness as Umbridge slid a piece of parchment across the desk to him, the rasp of paper on wood loud in the otherwise silent room. Her voice slithered past any defences he may have had and transcended his thoughts and feelings like a thick, pernicious smog, trying to find and suffocate the life and freedom from him. And for every second it invaded him and tore him down, Harry found he couldn’t quite keep up; as though he had only a few seconds of memory before a thought or feeling was lost.*** The above is just one example of how wonderfully descriptive your writing is as far as Harry's feeling go. I could hilight so many more passages, but i would end up putting most of the chapter in the review panel! That woman deserves nothing less than the Dementor's kiss, but I have a horrible feeling she will be able to wheedle her way out of serious trouble, at least for a while. When they find out what happened to HArry... come to think of it, how long will that be? HArry, when he regains consciousness and realises where he is and remembers what has happened to him, will no doubt not tell anyone the truth... will say he ahd an accident. And when they do find out that Umbridge is responsible, will Fudge come down on her side and prevent justice being done? The possibilities are nauseating. DD's anger will be formidable, once he is over the fear that Harry will die. Minerva too. All of them, even Snape would be truly appalled with Harry's torture and that it has gone on for so long without anyone being the wiser. And Sirius... wow, the possibilities are endless of what you can come up with to horrify us further. And hopefully, the newly free Severus will play a major part. As this is P&S, it is certain he will. Can't wait for more, Lisa. This was brilliant, but I think I have already said this. I am so looking forward to more (think I have said this too). Lesley~ Author's Response: So many reviews and such kind compliments!!! *blushes and never stops smiling ever again ^^* Hehe, aww, you’re so very very sweet ^^ - I hope I can keep writing to the standard you seem to like, isn’t it awesome when people like something that you’ve put so much thought into? *sighs and grins ridiculously hugely* *have a gleeful muffin... they smile a lot too ^^* Of all things I didn’t consider giving Umbridge The Kiss... it always seemed such a peaceful, passive kind of punishment for all that it was a horrifying experience that led to a slow death via wasting away... it just seems a little anti-climactic though, dontcha think? No, need something a little more... satisfying... when it comes to Umbridge. Come on, really, so many people think she won’t get hers but I ask you, if I could think of all of that to put Harry through when he hasn’t done anything wrong, would I really let Umbridge off with a kiss? Even if it was from Mouldy himself it wouldn’t be enough... no, I’m working on something with many layers of horror for the toad... (I did so love her punishment in one fic I read... eaten as a toad by kitty McGonagall... hopefully I can be so inventive ^^) And have no fear, when Harry wakes we’ll be beyond the point of his excuses being believed. That’s one thing I’ve been able to do for my severely irritated readers ^-^ And as Dumbles will explain in ch15, Fudge – though not involved just yet – is seriously unlikely to be on Umbridge’s side in any of this (*coughupcomingelectioncough*) Hehe, I find it interesting, the way you said that – ‘even Snape’ – hmm... you’ll see... surprising how people change in times of stress (though hopefully believably... ? hope you let me know *bites nails*) Oh, no doubt about that though, Sev will play an enormous part don’t worry bout that ^^ - and I’m still working with Sirius on his reactions... for all his immaturity, his volatility is so much fun to write! ^^ Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU. You never leave me feeling underappreciated that’s for sure! *muffins galore for you!!!!*...*and more!!!!!!!!* ... ... ... *and more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!* ^^ and perhaps and update too...? ^^
I really cannot understand how Harry has not collapsed totally yet. Onwards... Lesley~ Author's Response: Oh, I think Moldymort knows... *whispers* that’s why he don’t got no friends... And perhaps I should consider writing clearer considering that I seem to confuse people so often... it cant be a good thing *bites lip*... whoopsy... I don’t mean to... And Harry had previously undiscovered wells of determination, but rest assured when he falls he falls hard. Onward indeed ^^ |
