1. You've updated! I'm ecstatic! You don't know how many times I've checked this fic for chp 13! 2. Can't think of a favourite quote, but! I find myself really interested in this fic because Harry is being controlled by magic (he is...isn't he?)because I believe Harry wouldn't put up with so much abuse otherwise. 3. I liked how you talked about the Dursleys. Excessive Dursley beatings are over rated and I'm fond of J.K.R's Dursley's because they are an expression of her childhood. 4. I love your Ron! 5. Your scary scenes make my brain heat up like it does in nightmares. You are an awesome writer! 6. I mean, *coughyescough*... well, you’ll find out eventually ^^, thirdly I didn’t know that about JK but I can understand how it would be so and I agree that when it’s taken for granted that they barely stopped short of killing him it’s a tad OTT but at the same time a crap childhood can be crap without beatings and horrifying examples of neglect and Harry’s would be crap enough without it too, fourthly - *takes a breath ^^* - thank you! I’m quite fond of my Ron too, he’s scrubbed up quite well hasn’t he *pinches his cheek* ^^ - fifthly (?) And... well... at least you cant say I’ve taken a month this time...? *dodges flying projectiles aimed at head* well you didn’t say I couldn’t take longer ^-^ (what? Implied? Pshaw... which is, incidentally, totally a word ^^) not too much longer now... promise ^^
Loved Lily's appearance there, holding on to Harry and making sure he stayed alive. And I'm so glad that Severus is done with spying...now he can devote all his time to caring for Harry, lol! My favorite part was Dobby...I think you need to explore the relationship between Dobby and Severus...Just kidding of course. You know my favorite part is Severus discovering Harry in the snow, and finally seeing how badly hurt he is. Now, finally, Harry can start getting the care and the love that he deserves, I hope! Great chapter and I'm already wanting 14! Author's Response: Thank you! Sorry it’s taken so long to reply (and update ^^) – as fun as it is, full-time uni tends to eat up all the ficcing time I had before TT – and thanks for saying the Dobby moments were appropriate – it was one of those things I really wanted to do whether it was appropriate or not so I’m glad you thought so ^^ And I’ve read one too many fics with Lily trying to get him to choose life or death to write one myself – personally I think I would make sure my kid didn’t give up for as long as they possibly could ^^ (I know, such a slave driver) – but we had to have a bit of Lily ^^ And Sev’s calling in life really is Harry anyway so I figured he’d have to be able to devote all his time to it ^^ (don’t think Voldy was too thrilled though ^^) Haha, oh now that would be interesting... Dobby and Severus and the tangled web surrounding them both... I don’t see how that couldn’t be a crack!fic ^^ hehe, and for some odd, utterly strange reason a lot of people seemed to agree with you and like the moment Sev found out about Harry’s injuries the most... I wonder why...? (couldn’t possibly be because of how incredibly long I dragged the bloody thing out of course ^^) Hope you’re still waiting for 14 and haven’t given up (don’t give up! Author's Response: I know, I have a list of thing I need to make sure I wrap up properly with roughly twenty things on it and I’m always adding more so I’m sure the chapters will continue to be very full from now on *sigh* ^^ - hehe, hmm, well Hogwarts was never safe for Harry to begin with so maybe he shouldn’t be so surprised ^^ but his ‘condition’ will be found out, it already is a little bit, Sev just doesn’t know what he’s found yet ^^ Hope you aren’t too anxious for an update *bites nails* ^^ Have fun ^-^

I'm so happy!!!! The big chapter is here! It's here to read and love and read again and it was ... the only word I can think of to describe it is AMAZING but that no where near encompasses the brilliance of this chapter! It was beautiful! You've conveyed the feelings of the characters to perfection - especially the part where Harry's wandering the school after the detention - the fear and confusion and feeling of absolute solitude came across just brilliantly, and I thought it was wonderful! I think that's my favourite bit - not because it's happy or sad, but simply because it just seems to draw me right in, until I feel as though I'm a small part of his confused mind - and I love that connection between character and reader ... I love the bit with Harry's mum too - which is once again sad - but strangely heart-warming too ... :D Reading through this, I wouldn't blame you if you're freaking out about all the compliments and flattery - but I simply run by the rule that if I like a story, or love it, and think it so amazing it's beyond words, I should tell the author that! And the fact that I get such lovely replies from you just makes me want to give you a big hug as well!!! (Although - on your footnote, not too sure what you mean by 'kidnappy'?!) I don't particularly care about how quickly the next chapter comes out (although I am looking forward to more Harry/Snape interactions) because I'll be smiling at the thought of this one for weeks!!! I’m guessing... and I might be wrong... but I’m guessing you liked this chapter? ^^ I’m so glad it drew you in so much, especially when Harry’s running after his detention because I was aiming for that and had hoped I didn’t accidentally make it impossible to read instead ^^ and I think the biggest compliment I took away from your review was that you felt as though you’d become a small part of Harry’s mind – that I could immerse you so thoroughly in something I’d written makes me all giggly ^-^ thank you so much for all those wonderful, incredibly lovely things you said, *hugs you*, you must have had a thesaurus handy to have found so many ways to flatter me (and rest assured, I’m feeling thoroughly flattered... and hyper and squeeful ^^) Oh, and the ‘kidnappy’ remark I made was because Wrinkled Fabric and I have been discussing her plans to kidnap me (usually only when I take ages to update... usually ^^) and possibly a line of designer balaclavas or, failing that, a Snape mask ^-^. Our discussion of it’s gotten pretty detailed (and hilarious ^^) so I thought I should add the ‘kidnappy’ in my footnotes ^^. And very very glad you don’t mind so much about how long the next chapter will take because my plans to update weekly seems to have unravelled.
