Poor Harry. I really hope that someone other than Hermione and Ron, an adult, takes notice of Harry's problems with Umbridge. What with Sirius? I hope Snapey plushie can help! Great chappie as usual. On to the next! :) Author's Response: Oh not at all, thank you for reviewing! ^^ (no matter how much I love some fics out there I sometimes miss chapters and it always makes for more fun the next time they’re updated because you get to read twice as much... but then you do miss an update in between... hmm, glass half full or half empty huh ^^ (fanfic philosophy XD) I think you’ll like my next update then, although Ron and Hermione... mostly Ron for some reason ^^ - is doing an admirable job of being supportive ^-^ *pats Ron on the head* good boy. But Snape’s starting to feel left out so he’ll get off his ass ^^ Haha, I seriously doubt Sirius would cuddle up to a Snapey plushy (maybe when no one’s watching ^^... who can resist Sevvy ^^) – but I’m sure Harry will like his Snapey plushy to help him heal from the stuff silly Siri said ^^ Thanks – as always I love your reviews ^^ have fun and happy reading ^^
*whips out wand and turns Umbridge into glass before blasting her glass-self into a million little pieces* There, I feel a little bit better. Ugh! I hate her! I was wondering by the end if you were going to reveal what happened in Umbridge's detention, but I didn't think it would be that horrible. I assume it was either a blood quill charmed to work on his back, or Umbridge made the marks herself. *shudders* I do have to wonder how Severus didn't notice Harry was bleeding. I get that with his robes it wouldn't be that noticeable, but as a Potions Master his sense of smell would likely be stronger than most people's and blood does have a distinct smell. Perhaps the evil toad (I guess that word will work to keep my review G rated lol) spelled it so no one would notice and couldn't see or smell the wounds? That would be horrible, but I could just see your Umbridge doing that. But then how would Harry ever get help? Maybe if he told someone like Snape, they'd be able to remove the spell? Oh, also are the blood quill scars in your story going to be unhealable, as in no potion or spell can heal the scars? If so and that's how Harry got the new wounds on his back that would be horrible for him to have to live with that on his back for the rest of his life. In regards to Sev, I think he was rather perfect in this chapter besides what I mentioned above. He's secretly trying to protect Harry, but he can't really do anything unless Harry tells him what's going on. He's in his own way caring for Harry without showing Harry that he is, which is right for this stage of your story. I can't wait until there's some Harry and Sev bonding/comforting but I know there's a time for it and apparently Harry hasn't said it's that time yet. Great chapter and now I really can't wait for the next one! Author's Response: *wraps you in a woolly black jumper* don’t worry, it wont be poor Harry for too much longer. (I mean, it will in general I’m sure because fanfic authors like to be mean to him... *whispers so the Harry in my wardrobe doesn’t hear* he does tend to make an interesting torture – but in this fic it wont be for much longer so don’t worry ^^ lots of Sevvy hugs to come ^^) Ooh, nice aim... unfortunately I think shattered-glass-Umbridge cut Harry up a little (she just doesn’t know when to stop does she *sets Snape on her* get her, get her!) glad it made you feel better though... maybe I should hand out glass Umbridge’s for people to explode? Blood smells. *adds that to list of things I seem to have buggered up* ... but then Snape does try to stay as far from Harry as he can and is trying his best not to notice what he already has... if that makes sense (I think I’m channelling your Snape from the beginning of AIE... by the by, I don’t suppose you know already how much I suck at drawing right... because as much as I love that sandcastle scene... ^^) Lol, don’t worry about your review rating, you can call the toad anything you like and it wont count ‘cos it’s factual ^^ I can imagine her spelling the wounds so they wouldn’t smell and leaving the rest to Harry but beyond that... she’s not the smartest (or the most helpful... who would’ve thought?... oh, hey, what do you think’s worse, your Harry’s cancer or my Umbridge? (I suppose yours wins because with mine we get to look forward to some revenge at the end of it... yours is a little more insidious (and spell resistant ^^) and I absolutely love reading what sounds like your thinking out loud (so to speak ^^) – your one of those reviewers that give me the best ideas ^^ *throws points and muffins to you* thank you!!! Oh, you really are one of my best guessers... top two! (I cant decide between you and wrappedinharry... though don’t look at her review unless you don’t mind possible spoilers, she’s ver good too ^^) but ooh, you’re good and I really shouldn’t say you’re right about those scars but... I think your Snape is amazing, and that scene with him was pretty darn brilliant, and I could not have imagined it done better. I also didn't see that ending coming at all, and hope to read more soon! Author's Response: Oh, never be shy about leaving reviews! I’m trying to get Umbridge to stay as canon as possible but she may go a bit above and beyond next chapter, I hope you think she’s still canon then ^^ Oh Sev’s on side, and he’ll reveal that more and more as we go too ^^ and as for Sirius and Dumbles, well, they’re only human... neither are the most well-balanced and even though I’m trying not to bash them too much it’s hard; they’re both so bashable sometimes ^^ Sirius wont be huge in this fic but he will be around here and there and Dumbles is Dumbles, always watching but never seeing (or doing). I don't mean to complain because I really do like this story and want very badly to see where you are going with it. Sirius deserves whatever you can dish out. Author's Response: Heh, sorry (believe me, I wish RL would disappear and let me write a couple thousand words a day ^^). And as for Sirius, well, it wont be what I can dish out (or even I suspect what Harry can dish out in the end) but I bet Ron and Hermione (and maybe even Sev) will have some things to say ^^
The letter to Severus and the interplay between Ron and Hermione was perfectly in character. The whole chapter was very well written and I want ot know what happens next. Bravissimi! This chapter was good - but I definitely want at least someone to get vicious at Sirius - I'd love to be able to do that for some of my friends' parents but I never seem to have the confidence to do so ... plus, I'm pretty sure I'd offend them, which wouldn't be good ... :D Thanks for updating - you're really quick! Author's Response: Oh yes, it’ll be Poppy and/or Sev who will find that potion very shortly, and I won’t say yes or no until then but nice guessing! Ten points for that one! And some vicious consequences for Sirius? Okey dokey (I seem to have a lot of people thinking he deserves it which I couldn’t agree with more – it seems a little ridiculous that no one had anything to say about it in the books but there we go ^^) – you have friends whose parents deserve some consequences too? Hmm, it probably would get you in a bit of trouble if you did what I think Ron’s close to doing to Sirius but you must be a very loyal friend to want to, it’s a hard situation but in Harry’s case I think it would help him more to have loyal friends by his side than angry ones too busy berating Sirius to notice anything (in this fic he seems to have both though, lucky boy ^^) Thanks so much, I’ll try to keep updates quick, especially with chapter 11 (after 10 you might want another quick one ^^) Have fun x |
