This is a beautiful story, and a beautiful chapter. I feel so sorry for Harry, feeling so alone and frightened and unwanted. The poor kid...all he's ever wanted is his own family who wants him.
I felt so bad when Severus couldn't respond properly at the end, but I do understand that it's a big change for him too. I hope that his feelings will change soon though, and that he will come to see how special and wonderful Harry is , and to love and want him. And even more, to make that plain to Harry.
Looking forward to more!

This chap was awesome!!!Please please please update again Soon! Anyway great work:)!! Nyx
Oh, that was a cool twist. I wonder who the attacker is... Quirrel? That would make some sense, although it seems like he would kill him rather than beat him up. Malfoy wouldn't have enough skills- and where would he get a cloak?
Anyway, I hope that Snape does something useful for Harry. He hasn't done much up until now to reinvent Harry's idea of normal.
Author's Response: Thanks for the review. Snape knows it's a slow process and 'new normal' won't happen over night, especially with Harry's trust issues.
What an amazing story. I'm really liking the way it is taking so long to convince Harry that he isn't a bad person and that he is deserving of good things/people in his life. There's been nearly a decade of his own family telling him otherwise, so why should he accept the contradictory words of strangers?
Good job on the invisible attacker and the blood adoption. I'm eagerly awaiting the next chapter.

Brilliant chapter can't wait for more
Good chapter. Just one question about the blood adoption. Wouldn't it start to alter Harry's appearance? I mean if you change a person's DNA, the whatever in their cells would have to follow a new set of instructions that control things like skin pigment, hair color, the shape of hair follicles, etc. Realistically it wouldn't be some spectacular instantaneous transformation, but something gradual. I know, I can be such a nitpicker (and a nerd that says things nobody understands, including myself :P). Anyways, keep up the good work.
Author's Response: Typically the blood adoptions I've read about in HP Fan Fiction do not involve change in appearance. Probably something to do with the way the magic works. They're not actually changing DNA, just giving each other a bit of the other's blood so that the blood intermixes, and then the magic forms a bond between the two participants as that of a family so that they feel connected to each other in some way over time and perhaps loyal over a period of time.
Oooooooh! Very interesting! I really like this story! I'd love to see you continue this for a while instead of keeping it fairly short, you are a wonderful writer! I hope you update soon!
I can't blame Harry for being surprised at this new development, but I, myself, am not. Severus wants Harry to be safe and will go through great lengths to protect him, though probably didn't ever imagine that he would ever do this.
I can't wait to see how Hermione and Ron react.
Great chapter!
Author's Response: Let's say that Severus wasn't happy with the Headmaster's plan, but was willing to go through with it in the end because he had already decided to "change Harry's definition of normal" and make him feel safe and secure in his enviornment. Severus knows it is his fault that Harry does not feel safe, loved, or wanted at Hogwarts and is determined to fix it, whatever the consequences, because he refuses to be just like James Potter.

Very interesting development!
Ooh, very interesting. Harry finally has the father that he's been hoping to have for a long time.
I'm anxious for the next updated.
