Loved it! The quote from Macbeth was great. Trust Harry to know that one. This is a great start to a Halloween story. I can't wait to see what happens!

Aww that's a great beginning! They're such a cute couple. I also liked how you pointed out that Harry wouldn't like Halloween because of Lily and James dying on it. It makes sense. Can't wait to see what happens next!
Author's Response: Good, I'm glad you think so. Kristeh also mentioned that as well. I always thought it was odd that Harry never spent a moment considering what happened on that night, it was so horrible. And Katie and Harry are sweet, you'll see more of them in the next part.
So far so good. Katie and Harry are so sweet together. I never would have though to pair them together..good job!
Author's Response: Yeah they are, and I like unusual pairings, because then you get to play around a lot with situations and reactions and keep everybody guessing. Great beginning, Snapegirl. And yeah, I've always thought that Harry wouldn't want to celebrate Halloween either, once he learned that that was the night Voldemort killed Lily and James. It kind of bothered me that he never seemed to think much of it in canon.
Author's Response: Thanks! Yeah I always thought that was strange, because even if he couldn't remember his parents, he could have at least shown some respect for the anniversary of their deaths and lit a candle or spent some time thinking about how lucky he was to be alive. It should have affected him in some way. Enough so he didn't just go merrily to the feast every year. And it also should have affected Severus too. So I made it really bother the two of them, enough to the point that they want to be alone to grieve. Luckily Harry has a girlfriend who can understand that and wants to help him, some girls are so shallow at that age that they would be annoyed if their boyfriend didn't want to party and have a good time. I just update the next part, where all the trouble starts.
