Reviews For There Goes My Life
Author's Response: Thanks! I wanted to do something different and that song was stuck in my head and wouldn't go away till I wrote this. I have some experience with this topic because of a friend of mine she was around 17 when she had her baby, her fiancee dumped her after she told him she was pregnant though. It worked out though, because she met a really nice guy and is now married to him and her son is being raised as her husband's child and they have another one as well. Her former fiancee signed away his paternity rights so he has no claim on her son. I just really love that song too and wanted to write Harry as a dad and this just fit. Plus, I've learned that when my muse is nagging me to write something, I should listen to it.
Author's Response: Thanks so much! Maybe I will!
Another thing: Becoming a parent doesn't mean that you have to give up all your plans - Harry could've gotten an education still, a lot of teenage parents manage, espesially those you get support from their parents. But that was your story and your ideas - nothing wrong with that... Author's Response: Rose was born a few months after Rina, Ron left school early to work with the twins in their joke shop and married Lavender, who also left school early. Blaise Zabini's daughter is a year younger than Rina, but still her playmate. And Draco's Eva is another story, she was adopted, I just didn't mention all of that because I wanted the focus to remain on Harry and Rina. Harry did complete his schooling, he took tests so he wouldn't need to return for his seventh year. And yes, he could have gone and become an Auror or played Quidditch after Rina was born, but both those careers would have involved lots of traveling and risk and he didn't want to leave his family and was content with being a journalist and spending time with his wife and daughter. Like Severus said, "Plans change".
Author's Response: Aww thanks! I didn't consider it, but maybe I will.
Author's Response: Thanks! Maybe I will do a sequel or two later when I have more time. I like Sev as a grandpa too.
Author's Response: Yes it is! Thanks so much for reading!
Author's Response: You're right, i could make a sequel or two, you're not the first one to suggest that.
~Fern Rose Author's Response: Thank you! Thank you! This was the first time I've ever written that pairing and it was an experiment.
Author's Response: I'd say you're right! I love that song too, it was one of my favorites and still is. Yeah it was hard, but look what he got out of it.
Author's Response: Aww, you're welcome! I try to keep them that way, because I've had too many negative things go on in RL lately. So I'm happy you liked it and am considering a sequel. |
