Was Harry adopted by Sirius? If not he has no call to be using the Black name. If he was adopted then he has every right to calling Sirius Dad as by adoption he is his father.
So many authors give him the name Black without a good legal basis to support it.
I'd like to think he was adopted... and has a good family of his own to look to for advice and support
Author's Response: Harry was raised from the age of 1 by Sirius, so even if Sirius wasn't his legal guardian and adoptive father (which he is, on both accounts), Harry would have called him Dad and Walburga Memaw.
I'm afraid this one is just too AU for me. I like tension, challenges for Harry and Severus, and it just seems too easy for them (Harry is too smart and powerful--any fic that has all those titles just seems over the top, and then I expect it to be a farce/comedy, which this is not.) I also find that what draws me to Severus and Harry interaction is the slow overcoming of the past, finding common ground, and growing closer gradually.
The writing is good, but the plot choices are not my cuppa.

Hmmm... I was rather disappointed by Snape warming up to Harry so soon. :P Though I definitely don't like the 'mutual hatred' thing, I'd've loved to see how tutoring Harry morphed Snape's attitude towards him. I could deal with the Professor readily agreeing to accept Harry as his apprentice, but the 'apology' and Snape's instant 'oh, okay' attitude was a bit too much. Or maybe, I just like angst, conflicts and tension. :D

Love the idea of the story that Harry was raised by Sirius. Anything that gets harry away from the dursleys is great. I hope draco and ron apprentice with harry.

Wow, a cheeky Harry; novel idea!! I love how confident he is though, and that he is not too proud to apologise for James' and Sirius' behaviour towards Snape!
I'm looking forward to see what happens next.
