Reviews For A Dangerous Game
Author's Response: Thank you so much. Thought I would just give a twist to the usual.
-P.G. Author's Response: Thank you so much. I'm happy that I succeeded in creating that fear inside of Harry. I think that Hedwig is very protectivie of Harry, and that Vernon is very lucky that she was locked in her cage, otherwise I think that Hedwig would have pecked him!
Thank you so much PG!!
I did find a little mistake I think: "Harry couldn't help but wonder who this caring and considerate stranger was, and what he had he done" I think you added an extra "he" or maybe I just can't read today...oh well. 'Nother wonderful chappie! Author's Response: Yeah, poor Harry. Having nightmares is bad enough, but then to have Vernon treat you like cow dung isn't fun. Yeah, I think that there is hope yet for Dudley. Thanks Ivy.
I fixed the two "hes" Thatnks for pointing that out. Thanks.
Nice chapter (the Dudley part of it, that is). Hope things will get better for Harry soon. Author's Response: You know...that scene with the Dudleys always stayed in my mind, and gave me hope for Dudley. I know that I'm not the first to have a remorseful Dudley, but I just had to include that in the story. I really believe in Canon that 'Dudley had an epiphany; he realised that Harry is a good person, and very selfless. I think that Harry saving him from the Dementors really had an impact on him; made him grow up and really examine his own culpability.
Petunia does tend to do that, doesn't she?
Thanks Ramelia, and I'm looking forward to your next chappie of Blame it on Dumbledore. Things will get worse before they get better for Harry...but fear not Snape and Harry will eventually learn to understand one another...and maybe a lot more.
Vernon is evil. Like Harry would chose to have horrible nightmares that leave him screaming. Ugh. He needs a big reality check. I feel for Harry. He's in a no-win situation, and I hope somehow soon he'll get some productive sleep. Author's Response: Yeah, Dudley to the rescue! It's about time that the poor boy sees how horrible his parents are. Even Dudley deserves better parents than that.
Vernon has never had any compassion, has he? For that matter, Petunia is Harry's flesh and blood, and allows Vernon to mistreat Lily's son. How awful.
It is very hard for harry; he needs a break the poor kid.
Author's Response: Yeah, poor Harry, but at least his cousin is finally showing some sign of being human. I'm glad that Dudley is rejecting his horrible parents teachings, and starting to think for himself. I believe that everyone has good in them also.
Author's Response: Vernon is just very frustrated right now. Things are not going well for him at work, and he's taking it out on Harry. Also, he really didn't like feeling out of control by having Moody and the others threaten him. Oh thank you. I really thought since I read the last book, that Dudley has some redeemable qualities and I like when he changes too. Yes, he does have Lily's blood in him, doesn't? It's finally coming through.
Thanks for reviewing Jan, and again...great job on your latest chappie of Muggleville and I'm just dying for the next one!
I feel so badly for Harry, having to deal with his pain and grief all alone. Hopefully, that will change soon. Great job again! Author's Response: I think that Dudley had a reality check when the Dementors came after him, the previous summer, and now he's feeling really beholden to Harry, and guilty as well.
Vernon is truly a nasty piece of work, and doesn't deserve Harry.
Harry is having a rough time now, but he's got his friends and he will soon have more than he could ever have wished for. It will be a rocky road there though.
Thanks so much Kristeh. |
