Reviews For A Dangerous Game
Author's Response: Aw, you are so sweet Ivy! You reviewed every chapter, and wrote such a brilliant chappie yourself. Well done. Yeah, it was awful that Voldie tortured Narcissa and Draco. It IS awful for him to be torn like that, and Voldemort has no conscience at all, does he?
Remus is coming around to see a very different side of Snape, and he wants Harry to see that. Thanks again Ivy.
Anywho, on with the review...While I'm enjoying Snape being old Snape, I couldn't help the "awww!" moment when he tucked Harry into bed and then left the warmed food out for him. ^_^ Snape's so cute! And Poor Harry all sad and bitter. I hate it when people get really bitter. It's really not good for their health. But WAKE UP HARRY!! You HAVE a father-type figure now! Or you will later. It's hard to keep hating someone when you're forced to live with them, even for a short while. (I know from traveling around and having roommates! XD ) But I hope Harry doesn't go over board with his own revenge. It's sounds worrisome to me...but I guess if it brings Snape and Harry closer...what a father/son outing THAT would be? lol Another brilliant chappie Pandora! Author's Response: Hee hee! "I" would answer "that" ad for sure. Sexy, hot cute Potions Master, needs cuddling, but keep it secret, he's very prickly.
Yeah, I like tohose little moments when Severus shows just a tiny bit of affection for Harry, without realiising it. Hopefull, Harry will realise what he has in Snape, and look behind the reserved exterior. Harry needs to let go of his anger and his quest for revenge. Maybe Snape can pull him in if he goes too far. Yeah...what a reunion.
Thanks Ivy, for the lovely review.
Author's Response: Thanks Ivy. Yes...Harry has some adjusting to do, but he has very supportive friends in Ron and Hermione though. It IS a very confusing situation. Seveurs IS right, they have to be extremely careful.
Yes, Severus is acting like a parent, and doesn't even realise it! :) Thanks again Ivy, and I loved your new chapter by the way.
A wonderful chapter Pandora! And sorry it took me so long to pick this back up. *blushes in shame* I had lots'o projects and then finals. But now I'm home for a month and I should be able to read and update more quickly again! XD I'll have to go read on now! Author's Response: Yeah, Harry is trying to be brave. Aw, Dumbles is trying to get his two boys together!! He only wants them both to be happy. He is sorry for missing the abuse that Harry suffered at the hands of his relatives. Thanks for the encouragement Ivy and congratulations for finishing your fic. It was amazing, and I'm looking forward to a sequel.
Author's Response: Oh thank you so much. I was worried that the relationship was a little rushed because of the time restraints. I had that Elvis Presley song in my mind as I wrote that phrase! Too sad, isn't it? But you are right. He has Harry now. Thanks for your comments.
Author's Response: Thanks so much.
Author's Response: Oh thank you. I thought that the Dursleys got waht they deserved too!
Thanks Author's Response: Thanks so much. I would have liked to take time to show their relationship progress, but I might write a side story or a short sequel to show more of Snape and Harry's relationship.
Severus is so brave, carrying on the ruse with Voldemort, knowing that he's going to discover it at some point...wow, that's courage! Poor Draco and Narcisssa. That would have been so difficult for Severus to not be able to interfere. I actually felt bad for all the kids in a way. They can't help the families they were born into, and I bet none of them really has a good idea of what they're getting into. Author's Response: Evil chuckle. Sorry Kristeh, just had to do it. I thought that having Remus there to care for Harry when he regained conciousness would be a nice touch. It shows that Snape is putting his animosity for the Marauders aside and thinking about Harry's health and welfare. Severus IS brave, and I've always thought so. Even in Canon, Snape always was so brave, but unfortunately, he never got the recognition that he deserved. Very sad. Draco is a product of circumstance, isn't he? Severus really wanted to intervene in Voldemort's punishment toward Narcissa, and especially Draco, but it wouldn't have served any purpose than for Voldemort to become suspicious, and possibly harm Draco and Narcissa even more. I think that Narcissa and Lucius got sucked into the whole Pureblood is best wave of thinking and had no idea of the long term consequences, and what kind of future that they'd be subjecting their son to. The really love Draco, and would do anything to protect him; they dearly regret their choices now, but it's too late to turn back time, but Draco is still young and can be saved.
But Harry is so grief-stricken, it hurts, and the way that Severus is beginning to care and to feel protective is just beautiful, even if he won't let himself show it to Harry. I'm glad that Severus does know that Harry was abused, so he can see that his own preconceived ideas were wrong, and it was sweet of him to allow Harry to sleep and to keep a plate warm for him. I loved the line about how forbidding Harry to enter the room was like dangling candy in front of a baby. LOL, that's so true. Now, Sev really should have known better! Author's Response: Thanks Kristeh. I guess I should put a warning at the beginning of the story: "Kleenex required"! Yes, both Severus and Harry are very conflicted, and Snape is so proud that he won't admit that his feelings for Harry are changing. And Harry is still consumed with grief and resentment, so he's not totally accepting what's before his eyes; that Snape cares about him, and would protect him with his life, and not just out of a sense of duty to Dumbledore.
Poor Harry, but Severus, while reserved and proud, is beginning to change his views on Harry; admitting it is a little harder for him. He has to shed all his preconceived notions about who Harry Potter really is, and he has to stop projecting his feelings about James onto Harry. I thought that that was sweet too. ( Do not let Snape ever know that I used his name and the word, "sweet" in the same sentence!!
Hee hee. You just cannot dare a Gryffindor not to do something. That's like giving them permission to do it!! Yes...Snape should have known that to forbid Harry to do something, would only tempt him to do the opposite. |
