Poor, wretched Harry. I so feel for him. *sob* I hope Snape comes around soon and starts treating Harry better.

Author's Response: Yeah, poor Harry. Have faith. Snape is going to start seeing Harry very differently soon.

Oh dear. Snape and Harry are off to a bad start, aren't they? I hope they'll learn to get along... somehow... someday.

Author's Response: Yeah, not the greatest start, but hey Rome wasn't built in a day, was it?
Title: Chapter 4: Retribution--Moody Style 02 Dec 2009 2:38 pm

Ha ha! Go Moody! Trust him to say to Shacklebolt "Relax, laddie." :D Oh and, I loved this place: "the newly improved Dursleys". Improved, indeed. :) So, things are getting better for Harry? Why do I get the feeling that it's not for long? On to the next chapter, then...

    Author's Response:

Yeah, I could just picture Moody in the movie, turning to Shacklebolt and saying with his thick accent, "Relax laddie," and then taking a swig of his scot from his canteen.  Oh yeah, the Dusleys are improved. Animals are higer up on the kindness and compassion chain, then those worthless relatives of Harry are.

Things will get better for Harry, but it's going to take a little time.  Being with Snape is not going to be easy.

What a surprise there. Wow. I'm stunned, but in a good kind of way. I'm glad that Dudley's come around and realizes that Vernon's treating Harry... awfully. (By the way, I loved that place in TDH where the Dursleys are departing from Privet Drive, and Dudley says he doesn't think that Harry's a waste of space. Petunia ruined the moment, though.)

Nice chapter (the Dudley part of it, that is). Hope things will get better for Harry soon.

    Author's Response:

You know...that scene with the Dudleys always stayed in my mind, and gave me hope for Dudley. I know that I'm not the first to have a remorseful Dudley, but I just had to include that in the story.  I really believe in Canon that 'Dudley had an epiphany; he realised that Harry is a good person, and very selfless. I think that Harry saving him from the Dementors really had an impact on him; made him grow up and really examine his own culpability.

Petunia does tend to do that, doesn't she?

Thanks Ramelia, and I'm looking forward to your next chappie of Blame it on Dumbledore.  Things will get worse before they get better for Harry...but fear not Snape and Harry will eventually learn to understand one another...and maybe a lot more.

Title: Chapter 2: Like a Dagger to the Heart 02 Dec 2009 2:21 pm

Ah, Dumbledore gets his way - again. But if that means Snape will try to make amends and be a little nicer to Harry, I'm certainly not complaining. :)

Author's Response: Well...it's always darkest before the storm, so Snape won't change instantly, but between the potion and the blood adoption, he'll get a little push in the right direction.

Very intriguing beginning. Can't wait to see where this goes. Towards a happy ending, I hope. :D

    Author's Response:

Aw thanks. Oh...you'll have to wait and see, like about fifteen minutes or so! :)

I liked the idea and your writing style a lot, but I wish that it didn't end here. I also felt like the relationship between them (even with the help of the potion) was rushed, and I would have liked to have seen more of the interaction between them during that time between hatred and becoming a family. Your writing is fantastic though, and my heart was tearing up at times reading this.

    Author's Response:

I agree JA, but I had a deadline to finish the story, so I didn't have much choice but to speed it along, but when I wrote this, I thought to myself that I'd like to write a side-story, or a sequel to explore more of Harry and Sev's growing relationship.  I couldn't do that in eleven chapters, but perhaps in a side-story, I could fill the gaps in-between.

Thanks very much for your compliments, I didn't mean to make you cry. You need some of Angel's tissues I believe, or perhaps your very own box?

Awww how sweet. I'm so happy that Harry got the father he always wanted. A surprise party for him. That was just awesome as it totally took Harry by surprise.

I had to totally laugh at the line Severus was threatening to make Harry write. I can just picture Sev trying to sneak out of the Hospital Wing multiples times during the day.

I really enjoyed this sweet story, Pandora. Great job!

    Author's Response:

Thanks Ella. At least Harry feels loved and cared for. He'll never forget Sirius, and no one could replace him in Harry's heart, but now he has a father that really will look out for him.

Harry hasn't had very many great birthday's, so he really deserved to have a great sixteenth birthday.

Yeah...Snape would not be a model patient now, would he?  I could just imagine Poppy threatening him too! Hee hee!

Thanks Ella, and I'm really looking forward to an update from you too!!

Yay! *smiles* Harry and Sev are getting along finally though since the next chapter is the last I have to wonder if it's just a calm before the storm. *runs off to find out*

    Author's Response:

Aw, I wouldn't do that to you, would I? (Looks innocently around)

Naw...I'm not THAT evil. I like happy endings, after all. But to get to that point!!  (Evil chuckle, and maniacal laugh)

I hope Harry isn't too hurt. Crashing is never good, but I'm glad that Severus contacted Remus to stay with Harry. It shows Harry that Severus is thinking about Harry's best interests and wants.

It seems that Voldemort hasn't figured out Snape's treachery yet, and I just hope he escapes the meeting unscathed.

    Author's Response:

what bad timing, isn't it? For Harry to have a vision, as he's flying recklesslessly around on his broom. Crashing is never very good, especially head first.  Snape is starting to care for Harry, but he'll never admit it out loud.

Volide hasn't figured it out...yet.  I hope so too! I love my snarkey Snape.
