Reviews For Away in a Manger
Author's Response: Yeah, Harry will really be a handful, and it's awful to take care of a baby when they're sick that way. It really tests you. Glad you're enjoying this and this will also show Harry growing up, not just as a little baby.
Author's Response: No, it's only been twenty four hours since he's been gone and the wards wouldn't have alerted anyone that something was wrong because they only alert, at least in the book, when a DE tries to breach them. Also, they don't seem to activate if Harry is being hurt or threatened by his relatives, no one ever knew they starved him or locked him in a cupboard in the books. Or treated him like a slave, until Harry chose to tell some of it to Ron and Hermione. My guess is Dumbledore just assumed they would care for him and didn't really bother keeping too close an eye on him.
Dont you just wanna hug sick!Harry? He just sounded so uncomfortable, you wrote that so well ^^ Best christmas fic I've read in ages with lots and lots of cute h/c and Snapeyness... very nice, cant wait for more ^^ Author's Response: Thanks so much. I was almost afraid I was going too fast with the bonding thing, but I know from experience that nothing helps a bond between two people or an animal and a person or whatever than nursing a sick person or animal back to health. Oh yes, I did. I wanted to hug him and kiss him, poor baby! That scene comes from my own personal experience with a sick baby nephew not too long ago. Aww! That's so sweet! And now you can see the next chapter for more cuteness and Harry and Sev bonding.
Author's Response: he really is and if he could just catch a break he would have no problem with Harry living with him. That's why he hasn't gone to him, because he's afraid the old man will try to take Harry away, but perhaps something else will happen to help Severus keep Harry.
Author's Response: Thanks so much and I'm glad you're enjoying this one too! I love Christmas stories and this one is turning out well so far. Hope I have it finished by Christmas.
I think Harry is great how you wrote him and look forward to what's next. Author's Response: No, it's hard and I've taken care of many sick babies just like that. Glad you're enjoying the story and please keep on reading!
Author's Response: Thanks so much for the lovely comments. I liked that part too, it was inspired by a bear that my nephew used to sleep with as a baby. He will now murder me for revealing his secret. Read on and you'll see whether or not that happens.
Author's Response: Me too! Me too! I want to hug him and pinch his cheeks, LOL! |
