Reviews For Away in a Manger
Severus' quoted Hermie in Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer, "You can't fire me, I quit." Woot! My favorite movie! Please post the next chapter soon! Author's Response: Yhanks so much and . . .you're right!! Congratulations!!
I've just posted the next part so have fun reading!
Author's Response: Oh yes, it will! Definitely! I've just posted my next chapter!
Author's Response: No, he isn't. He rjected Lucius' offer, see the first chapter for details, and he's just a struggling young Potions Master, has nothing to do with Voldy, Albus, the Order of the Phoenix or any kind of spying. He was never dark at all. He doesn't trust Dumbledore and he's afraid if he does reveal that he has Harry, Harry will be taken away from him, since he's poor and can't afford much. After all, Harry is the "saviour" of the wizarding world and Dumbledore thinks Muggles should take care of him instead. Harry is Sev's last link to Lily as well.
Author's Response: No, it's only been twenty four hours since he's been gone and the wards wouldn't have alerted anyone that something was wrong because they only alert, at least in the book, when a DE tries to breach them. Also, they don't seem to activate if Harry is being hurt or threatened by his relatives, no one ever knew they starved him or locked him in a cupboard in the books. Or treated him like a slave, until Harry chose to tell some of it to Ron and Hermione. My guess is Dumbledore just assumed they would care for him and didn't really bother keeping too close an eye on him.
Author's Response: Well first it's the middle of the night Christmas Day and he's exhausted plus he doesn't really trust anyone. He's used to being on his own and trying to handle his own problems.
Author's Response: Thanks and Severus was very licky. Augustus could have been another nasty one like Smithers or even Tobias. But he wasn't. I love them together too.
Author's Response: Yes, that's Augustus down to a T. He's very loyal and a traditionalist and will do almost anything for his family. Severus might want to do a blood adoption, but in order to so it, the adoptee (Harry) has to be able to consent and know why he's being adopted. Also there has to be a witness present who knows both parties and Severus doesn't want anyone to know that he has Harry. OMG, you didn't! Thanks so much! I have updated again!
I like that the house elf spoke standard English. In that house, I'm sure it's required for them to do so. Thanks for sharing. Author's Response: You're right. He's not all that easygoing and Severus and Harry will have to learn how to compromise a bit. Yes, it is. The Prince house elves are very much like beloved English retainers in all those Victorian novels. They are almost like members of the family and so speak correct English. Augustus values proper speech and he is very formal when he wants to be.
You're welcome and I've posted again so enjoy!
Same House as Last Time Author's Response: You won!!
Congratulations and here's your House points and cookies and cocoa! I love that movie and couldn't resist having a quote from it in here. BTW, I've updated again!
Thanks for the update! V. Author's Response: If he could, he would do so, but . . well you'll see what happens. You're welcome! |
