It took me a moment to get my head around 'secret Santa'. Being an Aussie, I would have thought you would call the tradition, 'Kris Kringle'. Merry Christmas to you too. Lesley~ Author's Response: Thank you ^-^ hehe, hmm, you're the second one to ask about a back story... or maybe the third (I'd say I've lost count but it would make it sound like their were more than their were ^^) Perhaps I should explain their finding each other (... after I've thought of it... sorry, did I lose some mystery there? ^^ and I sincerely doubt it... but then with Harry he'd probably let anything slide so perhaps... ^^ Ahh, I do it Kris Kringle but I doubted they did in the UK... perhaps they do, though I've been told they dont... so confusing TT - I thought I should get it right for this though since I think I buggered a few things up in Impossible ^^ - plus I'm a sucker for alliteration so I like the idea of a Sev's Secret Santa scene ^^ Merry Christmas to you bigger ^-^, hope your holidays are going well ^^
Author's Response: Hehe thank you ^^ and I’m glad I got that right too, may not have made a whole heap of sense otherwise ^^ and I agree about making them funny but with Sev there’s always the risk of him doing something he finds funny... which is likely to be scary for the recipient ^^

Author's Response: Thank you ^^ I do seem to just write tiny little fragments of their relationship or the heavy, drawn out version in A don’t I? I think I should rectify that, maybe I’ll write some fragments explaining their newer relationship and tie it all in together? Hmm, that deserves some serious thought, thanks ^^ Hehe, well a lot of people seem to be interested (and amused) by Sev and Secret Santas, but I cant see that being written without it turning into a parody ^^ hmm, considering the darkness of a I might need to write more Christmas fluff so perhaps I’ll write a bit more... well, I’ll try to grab some inspiration anyway ^^ Thanks so much, I hope you have a great Christmas ^^
Loved Severus' line about not doing Secret Santas! I think Harry ought to put his name in, anyway, ...well, if he was feeling suicidal, lol. Does this story fit into the 'Antonomasia' universe or is it a stand-alone? Great job and I'm looking forward to some of A, too! Author's Response: Thanks ^^ I’m glad there seemed to be so many nice images to stick in people’s heads with this one, especially after Antonomasia recently. I think the fluffy oneshots are more necessary for my sanity than people reading ^-^ I find it funny that the angst is so easy to write but inspiration really needs to strike before fluffiness comes easily... or maybe I’m particularly dense when it comes to that kind of inspiration ^^ Very glad this one was easier to read, I know A hasn’t been lately ^^. Hehe, yeah, I cant imagine Sev being thrilled with Harry if he put his name in for Secret Santas anyway, but surely the pros would outweigh the cons once the gift giving began... surely... ^^ I hadn’t actually thought about that, I think it would fit with Antonomasia at the moment and I’m happy enough for people to link the two but I think at some point I’ll do their first Christmas together in Antonomasia at which point this wouldn’t fit anymore... or it still might... hmm, something for me to ponder... ^^ Thank you so much ^^ More easier to read stuff on the way soon, and the last of the awful parts of A as well (for which I will warn you first ^^) – hope you have a brilliant Christmas ^^
One thing, which may not be important, is did you mention how old Harry is here? Like I said, it may not be important, or I could have missed it. But that's just something I noticed. Anyhow, I really do love this. A favorite Christmas fanfic so far! Thanks for sharing! Author's Response: Thank you! ^^ Very happy you liked it, and I hope that parts of it sticking with you is meant in a good way... would hate for possible Secret Santa scenes to stick in your head and nauseate/terrify you ^^ And no, I think I forgot to mention Harry’s age... and I really probably should have... oh. Hmm. I’ll say... that it’s purposely left to the reader to decide. Totally on purpose. Not accidental at all. *whistles and looks away* ^^ coincidentally, whatever age you think Harry should be, he is! Wow, you must be psychic (and I mean that in the least Trelawney-like way possible ^^) Aww thank you! No doubt the general fantasticness of writers on here will strip me of that title but to know this is/was a favourite will be my hot chocolate with cinnamon ^^ Thank you ^^
I liked the tinsel, which we used to decorate our tree with till they invented fiberoptics--hallelujah! No more tinsel all over everything! Plus my cat almost choked on a piece one time. I liked the Secret Santa concept and wished Sev would have done it just to see what HE would have gotten! Great piece of Harry/Sev bonding and a sweet Christmas fic! Author's Response: Aw thank you ^^ Fibreoptics do kind of rock don’t they... now we have the extra tinsel to cover the rest of the house with ^^... something we couldn’t do when we had cats (although the worry with ours was more that they tried to climb the tree... tried being the operative word... they weren’t good climbers ^^) – hope your cat’s okay... never good when your kitty is choking on Christmas cheer. Ahh, but what would you get Sev... although I think the question is more what would someone like Trelawney have gotten Sev... or McGonagall. Or Flitwick. Or Hagrid.
