This is a very intriguing first chapter. I'm curious as to where this is going. I admit, I cheated and read the categories, so while I don't think Severus is dead, I'm waiting to see where you'll take this. The part where Harry was watching Severus make that potion was beautiful. The way you described it was cinematic and I could totally picture it in my head. I felt Snape's power and Harry's awe. Too bad Severus couldn't have brewed a potion in class. I bet he'd have a lot more students interested in his subject. Be careful when you drive back to school. Remember to give yourself extra time, and most importantly, don't freak yourself out. ;) Author's Response: Yay!! You can have ALL the snow I have and some that I will have tomorrow! ^_^ And thanks, I'm glad you found the first chapter intriguing. And yeah, I cheat sometimes too. Although sometimes I wish we didn't have to put some of the warnings or little spoilers up because then I'd REALLY shock people with some of my ideas! But whatever, they're good for when you're a reader. And thanks! I liked writing that part with Snape brewing. I had this huge image of all those stories with wizards in my head when I wrote that and all the things you'd think about when you hear about wizards (not particularly relating to HP world) Although I thought of the light because if LOTR I admit. XD But yeah, I'D sure be even more into potions had I seen Snape brew, because I just KNOW he was amazing at it! And thanks! My parents are debating on whether or not they're taking my (my dad's very protective) But I'm glad you liked the chapter and I wish you luck this new semester!!
As for the snow, you can keep it. We're on day 9 of snow here and I have plenty enough of my own. :-D Author's Response: Really?
